Good 47º raining like mad morning. As usual the predictions
have changed again. No rain here yesterday but drizzles in Grants Pass.
Looks like we're in for it...
Wow, the sun came out here and it was a beautiful day. I tried watching the
Macy's Day Parade (emphasis on PARADE) and all they showed was Broadway Show
stuff! I wanted to see the parade! Turned it off.
Yesterday I left here early and went to Jean's to help with
dinner... When I got there she had everything already done. So we chatted.
I made a pumpkin cheesecake, deviled eggs, and some Tzatziki
Dip (Greek cucumber), and took Mom's Killer Rolls and baked them there. Jean
made the turkey, stuffing, gravy, the relish trays, and pumpkin pie with
homemade whipped cream. Jen brought a crockpot filled with mashed potatoes and
some whipped sweet potatoes. Jen carved the turkey....
Jean making the gravy....
Joining us was Shad, investment counselor for Edward Jones.
His office right by Brian's. I asked Shad where his name came from. He said from
the biblical Shadrach. (Shadrach, Meshach,
and Abednego are biblical characters recorded in the book of
Daniel Chapters 1–3, known for their
exclusive devotion to God. In particular, they are known for being saved by divine intervention
from the Babylonian execution of being burned alive
in a fiery furnace. They were three young Jews, of royal or noble birth from the Kingdom of
Judah, who, along with Daniel, were inducted into Babylonafter Jerusalem was besieged by Babylonian
king Nebuchadnezzar in 605
BC)
I remember the song Meshach Shadrach Abednego. Watch here on
youtube:
Also joining us were Brain and Jen's new neighbors, Lam and
his beautiful wife Winnie and their tiny baby Samantha. Lam is interesting. He's
a dentist and has lived all over. He lived in Basque Country of France, New
England (Yeah... he's a Patriots fan!), Arcadia, San Francisco..... and even
worked in East LA!
And of course Sami kept busy....
Tucker played the pinball machine and watched football..
It was a nice evening with family and friends. (Missed you Uncle Jimmy!)
Football yesterday... some surprises!
Night before I was watching TV when The Bruise decides to
climb Everest! Nut!
Not the best picture quality, taken with my iPad.

It looks like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and loved ones. Dinner looked yummy! I missed seeing YOU in the photos!
The Bruiser is so funny!
Hope the weather was good there for the day. It was an all time record hot day here for Thanksgiving. Sorry we didn't have the pool heated a bit.
XO Trisha
I look forward to hearing about your Turkey Day. Yes, ours was fun. I take pictures so don't get in them! Sigh...Heard about your heat down there. Too bad. That would have been great, swimming on Thanksgiving! xo
What a lovely gathering.
The story of Shadrach- up there with Paul of Tarsus in importance. Perfect for Thanksgiving.
