Good 49º somewhat cloudy morning.
Yesterday the sun came out and it was beautiful. Temps hit in
the low 70ºs ... Looks like we are in for a bit more precip... hopefully!
10-17 is police radio code for "pick up papers"
1017 is also the number of Brian's USMC boot camp platoon!
Today is also a special birthday of a former Wilsonite, an Annual Staff
friend, and LAPD ret... Steve Geon. HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVE!
Then I wrote down all the phone numbers on my cell phone. I am
getting a new one and not real sure if they can transfer the numbers. Better to
be safe than sorry.... Also I wrote down all the serial numbers on my two
cameras and all the lens. Brian will insure them for me.
Then to the kitchen to make a turkey meatloaf and roasted carrots. This was
a 'take off' on a "Tangy Apple Chicken Meatloaf". Of course I tweeked it quite a
bit and it came out fabulous! Tomorrow you will get the recipe.... sorry, too
busy today.
Football last night was a nail-biter! OMG. Both teams gave it their all.
What a game. (sorry Tootie and Olga)
Smiling........

Yes, T, those were funny... but sad. I love that picture of Alex too! xoox
LOVE the picture of Alex.
I remember the earthquake well. We would have been in the stadium but for Eric being traded to Rickey Henderson on the last date possible. Unless we were late. Then we would have been on the freeway which pancaked.
The civil engineer next door was called by the governor. Be prepared for up to 10,000 dead in California. But for the "Freeway Series" the unreinforced brick buildings in the region were normally packed. We caught a lucky break- and didn't know it.
L, Brian and I were on the road to Tahoe to my sister's when the earthquake hit. We were listening to the game from The Stick and it went off the air. Thought it was because we were high in the mountains. Found out my nephew was at the game and he said the upper deck was swinging back and forth! Scary.
