PICTURE OF THE DAY
Pumpkin patch in Santa Paula, CA
I received a couple packages via UPS and opened them, left them on the
table, and Bruiser decided that was the place to nap!
Now this is just amazing to me. I have had BofA stock
since the early '70's from when I worked for them. The dividend checks have
never been huge, but in the last few years, 4 times a year I'd get a check for
8¢ ! Imagine, spending first class postage to send me 8¢ ! Stupidity is at the
top of BofA. Anyway, just got my latest check and it's HUGE...
Imagine.... 40¢ !!! Wow, where am I going to spend all that?

Thanks Karen Baertschiger for this!!!
After a long day on the golf course, I stopped at "Hooters" to
see some friends and have some hot wings and drinks.
After being there a while, one of my friends asked me which
waitress I would like to be stuck in an elevator with.
I told them, "The one who knows how to fix elevators." I'm
old, tired, and pee a lot.

Yesterday off to Grants Pass for some quick shopping and then to Abby's for
Tucker's Birthday party. I went in Fred Meyers and hadn't been in that store in
a long time. Lots of changes. Very crowded. Then to Grocery Outlett and Dollar
Store. I got some birthday balloons for Tucker and tied them to cylinders of
glow sticks. He and his best friends had a sleep over last night in the tent
trailer in Brian and Jen's backyard, so thought the glow sticks would be fun.
The party was a complete surprise for Tucker. Jen and Brian got there and
set up, Jean brought the kids from swimming... I know Jen got a great picture of
Tucker's surprised look! She'll share it later. They ordered pizza for everyone...kids and parents...
Brian handed out quarters to the kids to play the arcade games...
Tucker was a happy boy with all his winnings...
All I know. Happy Sunday. Nuff said. Ciao.

October 5th
Today
is Do Something Nice Day. Go ahead, do something nice, anything nice.
And, do it to, or for, another individual. It won't hurt......I promise.
Doing
something nice for someone almost always evokes a very pleasant response. At the
very least, it results in a smile. More likely, that person will do something
nice to, or for you. And, best of all, doing something nice just might be
contagious.
In
keeping with the spirit of this day, set a goal to do something nice for
someone. Perhaps, you can do this for several people. Then, sit back and watch
the results!
Today
is also the end of Oktoberfest in Germany
And...
World
Teacher Day
Teachers deserve a little recognition, and some thanks and
appreciation. Aside from parents and direct family, who else has as much
influence on the hearts ann minds of a child... your child? Teachers not only
educate, but they help to shape and frame your child's beliefs, values, and
behaviors.
Parents and students are encouraged to offer thanks and recognition
today. A simple "thanks", or an ecard is sufficient.
BTW: An apple a day may keep the doctor away. But, teachers love to
get apples.
If you are a teacher, Happy World Teacher
Day!

The picture of pumpkins makes me want to take a drive out to the country... LOVE the glow-sticks idea.
Rather than characterize Teresa Heinz as stupid- more accurate might be direct. With the health issues which have targeted her this century- As a private citizen she should be allowed some idiocy. Her second husband- whose last name she only took breifly- is another matter.
Sorry L, Teresa Heinz Kerry is STUPID!!! I have heard her talk. I have seen the stupid things she does. If it walks like a duck.........
