Artoff Plumbing ~ Eclipse Times ~Monday Night Football ~ Judy ~ Microwave Eggs in Mug

Good 46º clear morning. Got up in the 90º's again yesterday. There is rain on the horizon... hopefully!

10-7 is radio code speak for 'out of service', for example when returning to the station at the end of shift.

The kitchen sink has been acting up again even after the last cleaning out. Called Mike. He showed up with this monster machine and did a big time cleaning out of the pipes, even going under the sink and taking the pipe apart. Working good now!

Later (another) Mike from All Natural Pest came by and emptied out one of the traps. Another ground squirrel!

I got this information from my daughter-in-law, Jen's brother Jimmy. The full moon eclipse will take place 6am ET and 3-4am Pacific time tomorrow morning.... here is a site with a short video of what you will see.... really interesting!
As for Monday Night Football....

Today is Drivel Pal Judy Duvall's birthday... HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUDY!!! I hope you have a wonderful celebration! (Her father and brother both worked for LASD)

Historically this date.... and famous births....

I tried a couple different recipes to scramble eggs. The first one was on the internet. It said to spray a microwave safe mug with cooking spray, break in 2 eggs, mix well, add 1/4 cup frozen vegetables, 1 sliced deli ham, 2 T cheese, season and microwave 3 minutes. I didn't have frozen veggies, so I minced up some carrots and broccoli. I didn't have deli ham so used bacon crumbles.

I didn't stir in the seasoning, left it on top and that's where it stayed. You needed a knife to cut the egg. Very stiff and dry.

Recipe #2:
Whisk 1 egg, 1/2 t. butter, 1 t. milk, 1 t. grated cheese. Add ingredients to cup, whisk with fork, cook uncovered on high 30 seconds, remove and stir with a fork, microwave additional 30 seconds. Let mug sit for 4 minutes. Fluff with fork.

Recipe #3:
2-3 eggs, dash salt, dash pepper, ½-1oz milk. Mix thoroughly in microwave safe mug, cook on med power 1-2 minutes, stir again and cook another 30 seconds.

So... yesterday morning I tired this one.. I put two eggs in a cup, added in pepper and some Tabasco spicy salt, chopped up chicken, about 3 T milk (only had almond milk) and some chives.

Cook on high 1 minute,

stir, cook another minute. Take out of microwave and let sit about 3 minutes (will be very hot). Topped with more chives and some Parmesan cheese.

This one was really good and soft and fluffy!

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Tuesday. Ciao.

Bald and Free Day honors those of us with a beautiful, shiny top. You don't' have to be bald to celebrate this day. But, it helps. People who are married to, or related to a bald headed person can celebrate with the honoree.
Enough with the bald jokes. There will be zero tolerance for them today. Rather, today is a day to cherish and appreciate the freedom that comes with being bald. While the rest of us are spending money on hair cuts, hair shampoo, hair sprays, combs, and such, the bald guys is smiling as he saves money and time.
Upon becoming a lucky bald guy, you are finally freed of the worry and fret that other guys have as they wonder for years:
  • "Will I lose my hair?"
  • Is my hair turning gray?
Better still, as a bald guys are much happier. In addition to saving money on haircuts and hair accessories, they never had a "bad hair day".
So, if you are bald, enjoy your freedom, as you celebrate Bald and Free Day.
