Good 48º morning. We hit 99º yesterday. ICK.
As you know I'm in the process of having the pest
control company, All Natural Pest, trap and collect the digging ground
squirrels. Traps were emptied and replaced. Yesterday there was a squirrel. I
called the company and told them. I was told someone would be out Tuesday. I got
a little angry and said that is inhumane! It's hot and you just can't leave him.
I will let him go. He said he'd call Mike, the guy who set the traps. About 2
hours later here comes a truck from the company and I told the young man to take
the traps and Mike can bring them back Tuesday. I didn't want any trapped
animals suffering in the heat for three days!
Here is something that is sooooooooooo good...
Mix honey mustard with mayonnaise and slather it on cooked
corn on the cob!
Or slather with mayo and sprinkle on your favorite cheese or seasonings. As
I said before, mix taco seasoning with mayonnaise. YUMMMMM! Be brave, try
something new.
Yesterday I was cruisin' the internet and found this site...
www.Kiboos.com They sell clogs. I love clogs.
I bought this pair.. Great for cooler weather and can even be worn with sox.
These will go with my jeans. I think they will also work with my inserts. Will
see....
Saw these and am thinking about getting them too.
But will wait until the first pair arrives!
Dinner yesterday was one of my favorite conglomerations... stir fry veggies
(broccoli, carrots, & snap peas), added in some edamame, tomatoes, more fake
crab, and some of the leftover* pasta/veggie/crab...... (*LO or reruns)
Sauté the veggies with a little water and some olive oil..
Add in crab, tomatoes, edamame, and seasonings...
I added in the leftover pasta...
Sprinkle in (generously) mozzarella and Parmesan...
OMGOOOOD!!!
My neighbor has gotten all is grass mowed and bailed...now hopefully no
more watering until Spring!

September 14th
National Cream Filled Donut
Day
Darn! The only Krispy Kream (the BEST)
donut shops are not even close to me! They are in Beverton, Vancouver, Tacoma,
Clackamas, and Payallup! Come on. NOT fair! That's over a 4 hour drive from
here. The next best thing is Stockton, CA.... next to an In-N-Out!! Whoooooot!
But again, that's too far, about 6 hours. We are soooooo in the boonies up here!
Sigh.... guess this will be savin' me some
calories!

Sue,
Just read yesterday's blog. Yes, I will ask John if he carries WD40 with him. I would imagine that would be a staple in their trucks.
Dinner looked yummy as usual!
