Good 60º clear but smokey morning. Smoke coming from the
south, from the fire near Ashland and the one by Yreka in
California.
Ok, after posting the link for 33 perfectly timed photos, Vivia wrote me
and said to take a look at these animals with odd markings. What a riot. Thanks
Vivia! (Hey, Ann and Gabe, does your new little "Yoda" have a heart on her
butt?)

Yesterday was a "get nothing done" day. Just hung out and
stayed cool. Dinner was that BLT Crab salad from Elmer's...
Fresh avocado, tomatoes, bacon, lettuce (natch), carrots, crab, black
olives, spinach, and ranch dressing! YUMMMMMM!!!!!
Then since nothing good is on TV during the summer I watched the movie
Saving Mr. Banks.
Wow. As always Tom Hanks is good (even though his politics suck!) He played
Walt Disney. Emma Thompson was the author of Mary Poppins and the movie
basically was a trip back into her life and how/where she was raised and the
result was the book Mary Poppins. It certainly has some moments where you want
to strangle Emma's character, P L Travers! Next movie on the line up is Mary
Poppins! Been 50 years since I've seen it!
Yesterday early evening a flock of Jakes and Toms were in my driveway.
Well, they had been there all day laying in the shade, but there was this coyote
in the pasture down by the gate...
... and this guy was making the turkeys nervous... I
called to him and he looked my way. Soon he was gone. I called Frank and Cindy
(house just outside my gate) to warn them a coyote was coming that way. They
sometimes leave the door open so Lucy (Jack Russell pup) can go in and out and
they also have a cat that wanders outside. They weren't home, so I left a
message.
All I know. Paperwork day and clean off desk day. Joy. Tacos for dinner.
Happy Saturday. Nuff said. Ciao.

Happy Birthday Bruiser baby!! Wish I could give you birthday hugs!
Did you enjoy Mr. Banks? John and I went to see it last NYE. I must say it wasn't what I thought it was going to be. I had mixed feelings and I think I was a bit disappointed. Could be I thought it was going to be more of an upbeat, love Walt and Mary Poppins type movie. My friend Felicia who is an expert on all things Disney thought I was nuts not to love it.
What did you think? Did you enjoy it?

T, I, like you, didn't find it that entertaining. As I said, there were times I wanted to strangle Emma's character! Yes, I was hoping for something more upbeat. That is why tonight I'm watching Mary Poppins! That is a fun movie! xo
Oh glad to hear that was your take on it too. I thought maybe there was something wrong with me! LOL
