Good cloudy 50º morning.
Yeah, held it in the 80ºs yesterday. 3pm and only
88º.
The last day of August. Hard to believe. This month, even with lots of
activities, seemed to move very slow. I think it was all the heat, smoke, and
daily humidity. Hope it passes soon. I know, all my 'summer heat sun loving'
friends don't want this particular season to leave, but I do! Moved to Oregon
for the seasons and rain. Haven't had much rain for the past two years. I only
really like 3 of the seasons. Enough...
Today is a special birthday... my friend Edda, visiting up
here from Diamond Bar, Ca. HAPPY BIRTHDAY EDDA!!! xo
Here are some great no cook recipes from Sunset:

..... that was one of those
unbelievable events when you heard it and had to shake your head... "is that
possible?"
And births this date
include.....

Mr. Gerbil!
My high school pal Greg Lundell replied to the blog with the Marinated
Peppers and Tuna. He said his wife Becky makes a great appetizer using
jalapeños. First she mixes mayonnaise and tuna. Then she cuts the jalapeños
lengthwise and removes the membrane and seeds. Then she stuffs each half
with the tuna mixture. Serve with some kind of fabulous crackers.
Another recipe for this I saw they added in some whipped cream cheese, a
few spoonfuls of taco seasoning, and some grated cheese. Jalapenos stuffed with tuna is supposedly a traditional Mexican recipe. Never heard of it before. Will try soon!
And I thought there were only 3 !!
(Thanks Pat Reardon, LASD ret., for this!!!!)
All I know. Happy Sunday. Nuff said. Ciao.

Happy, Happy Birthday to Edda!!!!
Bacon Day!-
Interesting ideas for changing up standard tuna salad.
Gerry and I looked at that house in Cerritos- certainly worked out for us that the homeowner was asking too much money.
I am sitting here still laughing at the "Four Stooges". It took me a few seconds to figute out which was the 4th but when I got to the end of the line I LOL! Oh soooo true!!!
HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Dear Edda!! Sue, I sent her an E card to Gloria. Please tell them to see it if they haven't already. Also a card sent to your house with yours. :) Don't have Glo's address.
I remember so well sitting here watching the tragedy of Princess Diana. She was the best thing to have happened to that royal family! Charles is just too dumb to realize that! Too much inbreeding! Ha!
Have FUN today!! I know you will!
XO Trisha
