Here is a great and heart warming story sent to me by John
Thurman, aka Teddy Bear (LASD ret)... The idiot in the White House wants to
spend billions on illegals and yet the VA can't help a vet! GROSS. Thank God
there are some really good people in this world. God Bless them!
OK troops, you LASD folks (current and retired) will love this
recruitment video. Thank you Chris Miller!!! A couple years old (Sherm was
Sheriff) but great!
Today is my nephew Joe Mueller Jr's birthday. Joe is a doctor in So. Cal,
Torrance. OMG, I can't believe this "boy" is 57!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOE! Here's a
few photos...
With his sisters Nancy and MaryAnn on Christmas... soooo cute! A brunette, a blonde, and a redhead!
...listening to records.....holding a record in his hands...
...and last year's Christmas card with his bride Denise.
They have three children... Lauren, Rachael, and Andrew.
Now tomorrow is Denise's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DENISE, a day early!
And today would have been my sister Marion and her husband Bill's 60th
wedding anniversary. Don't know much about my bro-in-law anymore. He's somewhere
in Az I think. (Don't care. He treated my sis horrible for so long!)
A picture arrived via Kristen of Alex and Jack in Ketchikan Alaska... on a cruise with their dad.

........oh how I remember that day. I
looked out at the moon and was overcome with the enormity of this
task.
1999 – John F. Kennedy, Jr., piloting a Piper Saratoga aircraft, dies when his plane crashes into

Lunch was good. I had about 12 asparagus stalks, cut
off the ends and cut into 2" lengths.. put in frying pan with a little water.
Added in a drained can of sliced mushrooms. Let cook at high boil 3 minutes.
Drained. Added back into pan with olive oil, some thawed edamamé. Added in fresh
flat leaf parsley leaves and rolled up some fresh basil leaves and sliced
them... Added in some leftover spaghetti.. with a very light sauce. Heated
through. Plated and added LOTS of Parmesan cheese.
With this I had a tiny glass of San Antonio Chianti!
OMGOOOOD!!!
As for tomorrow and the next few days I have no idea about if I will be on
line or not. Picking up my new computer from Turk today so I will have to learn
Windows 8 and get all the "stuff" I use back in the new computer. I will ready
your emails from my iPad.
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Day! Ciao.

Fresh Spinach Day (I can do that!)
Fresh
Spinach Day is our opportunity to put healthier food into our diets.
Popeye
the Sailor is right. Spinach is one of the healthiest foods you can eat. It
tastes good, and there are many recipes. Many people turn up their nose to it,
without even trying it.
The
reason for eating fresh spinach, is the nutritional value is highest, when it is
fresh and uncooked.
Celebrate
this day by introducing some fresh spinach to your meals today. You could start
by mixing in some spinach into your garden salad. Your family may not even
notice, but by doing so, you are making them healthier!
Gardeners
know that spinach is easy to grow. And, it's hardy. You can plant it as soon as
the ground can be worked in the spring. Why, that's today in many parts of the
country! More on Growing
Spinach.
There
is another day that we celebrate this healthy vegetable. It's National
Spinach Day, celebrated on March 26th. We think it is great that there are
two days to celebrate this wonderful vegetable, and to encourage people to eat
healthier.
Did
You Know? V-8 Vegetable Juice is
not just tomato juice. It includes 8 vegetables. One of them is
Spinach.

Sue,
I was struck by how much those children in red at Christmas time look like your kids. Do you see it too?
Adorable pic of Alex and Jack in Ketchikan. When we were there we went out on one of those Duck boats where you run around on the streets then go into the water. It transformed into a boat.
So sad how JJ Kennedy, wife and
s-i-l died. His s-i-l was terrified to go with them but they finally talked her into it. He was not familiar with that plane. So tragic!
XO Trisha
T, I guess there is a lot of resemblances in our family. No, I don't see it. They have the duck boats in Boston as well. Saw them all over the place. xo
What a nice blog today. Top to bottom. But the best may be the children in Alaska.
