Good 61º cloudy had some rain almost afternoon....
By 3:30 yesterday the clouds started building up...
... and the deer were laying in the shade in the upper pasture..
This morning:
Sorry this is late, but went to Tap Rock for brunch with Nancy and David. I
had purchased 2 for 1 tickets for the Sunday brunch. Gadz it was GOOD! I had
Eggs/Bennie w/Spinach, blackened fish, parmesan salad, roast beef, scrambled
eggs, cheese blintz, strawberries, fresh pineapple/melon/grapes, and
mimosas... You can go back as many times as you want, but I tried to be good~!!!
We had a good time, chatting constantly, eating, drinking! Thanks guys for
going. It was fun. Mimosas.... YES! Isn't it time for a nap now????
Today Brian's Atlas would have been 13. He passed away last year. He is
so missed! Sweetest dog ever!
Yesterday was Tucker's baseball game. Enjoyed that. Weather spectacular!
75º. Talked to another grandma there, Barbara. She was born in Baldwin Park,
lived in Covina for a long time, and family moved to Grants Pass years ago.
I wore my RiverCats shirt and black cat earrings...
Last night I watched The Lone Ranger. OMG. This new version is
soooooooooooo weird. Not only the graphic and continuous carnage but some of the
characters were sickening. Johnny Depp was Tonto. Oh so odd. Armie Hammer was
the Lone Ranger. Not bad. Good looking anyway. The best part was the very end
when they started playing the William Tell Overture (FINALLY!) and Silver is up
on his hind legs and they take off! HI OH SILVER ... AWAY! Kemo Sabe you rock!
This is the one I LOVE... Clayton Moore as The Lone Ranger... this gives me
goose bumps. I grew up loving The Lone Ranger, and Hoppy, and Roy Rogers. You
can't improve on something this good!
Here is the story behind the series and films...
.... and here is a quick look at the new film, crazy train scenes, and my favorite part, the
William Tell Overture:
By 8:45 last night the rain started. First with some high winds and then with a few drops, then more. By 9pm it was coming down pretty good. Talked to Patty at the coast and it had been POURING for an hour there. Never did that much here, and on and off most of the night. We'll see what today brings.
I know it's hard to see, but Bruiser is laying where the old oak tree was
and taken out and Dude is on the grass. They 'tolerate' each other.

No Dirty Dishes
Day
No Dirty Dishes Day is a reprieve from the daily pile of dishes to wash
and dry. Day after day, we do the daily chore of washing and drying dishes, then
put them away in various cabinets and drawers. We perform this task after each
and every meal, and often after snacks. Even putting them in and out of the
dishwasher and running it, can be a chore.
You deserve a break from this routine. And, today is that day. The
objective of this day is to have no dirty dishes. It is not intended to pile
them up until tomorrow.
We can think of two ways to avoid dirty dishes today:
- Use disposable plates, cups and silverware for all meals and snacks.
- Take the family out to eat all three meals. Then for snack, go out for ice cream!
We strongly recommend that you do not pile up the dishes to do tomorrow.
This defeats the purpose of this very special
day.

Thanks Trish, you are sweet. As for the oj in the mimosas... that keeps us upright!!! LOL. Speaking of "great" grandmas... you are in that group for all you do for Matthew! Besides, isn't being a grandma the best! xo
Thank you! OH YES! I have always believed I was put here on this earth to be a wife, mom and grandma! I am a happy woman!!
XO Trisha
LOVE mimosas. Then again, I like anything made with champagne. Even vinegar.
Reggie Jackson was a good man when he played. The son of a tailor- he took pride in his appearance.
Can you imagine- Armie Hammer walked away from the family fortune to star in anything but 4 star movies?):- We saw it in the theater- a rare date out- so it was probably a better watch for us. However- any movie with The William Tell Overture gets extra credit.
