Good 49º cloudy humid morning. Not supposed to get rain but yesterday when
I put on the rainbird and came in the house I heard something weird. It was RAIN
coming down hard on the metal porch roof!!! See..... washed my truck the other
day!
Here's a tasty and easy slaw for your Memorial Day BBQ...
1 (12oz) pkg broccoli slaw
1 cup red pepper strips
1 cup chopped fresh pineapple
1/3 cup dried cranberries
1/4 cup chopped red onion
1/3 cup Kraft Zesty Italian Dressing
1 t. brown sugar
1/3 cup sliced toasted almonds
Combine first 5 ingredients in large bowl. Mix dressing and sugar until blended and add to salad. Toss to coat. Refrigerate 1 hour and add nuts just before serving, mix lightly.
You can substitute a package of coleslaw mix for the broccoli slaw.
My friend Joan Driscoll who works at my vet's office posted this on her FB
page. 9 Beagle dogs who spent their entire lives in cages in a testing lab run
on grass for the first time. Their day of freedom! (Get out the Kleenex!)
A comment from a long time friend, Ed Chenal (LASD ret) re the VA Health
Care Solution:
"If Congressional members and their families had to go to the VA for their
medical care, the problems currently depicted on the news would be fixed in
short order." You are so right Ed!!!
LOL!!!!

Kristen and I got to visit with her in the second week of April and about two
weeks later she was in the hospital and on morphine heavily sedated. I miss her
so. Here's a picture of me with my sisters on June 14, 1975.... Betty on the
left and Marion on the right.
We were best friends. She was 9 years older
than me, the baby sister, and she always had to take me along ....
RIP dear

How sad there wasn't more available when Marion was ill.
No matter how hard I try- I can't be tempted into trying to eat snails.
What is WRONG with the Hollyweird people having so many plastic surgeries that they look like freaks! Priscilla WAS such a beauty!
You were such a darling little girl. Your sister looked so grown up she looks like she could have been your mother. So sweet.
I'm with you about the snails! YUCK! On the cruise ships people get so excited when they are on the menu. I can't bear to watch them eat them! I want to get out the Snarol!! lol
Love the baby on board! Too funny!!
XO Trisha
I took French in High School. Part of our final was we had to eat escargot- I hid mine in my napkin and threw it away- lol.Did not get caught!
I agree about Priscilla Presley! They get that Joker looking mouth. The Beagles video made me cry- when they go back to the feeling of the crate. ~sniff~
