Yesterday Jen planned and executed an awesome birthday party for Sami at the Bear Hotel...

The theme of the party was the movie "Frozen"

All of Sami's friends were there... the fare was pizza, snowball cookies, and she had an ice shaving machine and everyone got shaved ice with flavorings. There were projects to make (snow flakes) pictures to color, necklaces to make. The room was decorated with hanging ice cicles

Also while there I talked to one of the 'bear artists'... he was working on the Rogue River Bear! Cool, will have photos tomorrow.

This from last year....

I get a cooking magazine called Cooking Light and in it there was an article about the creamy cooking starters available in the markets now.. What they said was, if you want to make a creamy sauce without the 'cream' and added calories, take a can of Cannellini beans, or any white bean, puree with chicken stock, add in your favorite herbs. This makes a fresh creamy sauce that lightly coats pasta and vegetables keeping the dish light and fresh.
