SNOW! ~ Leftover Turkey Crockpot Casserole

Good 28º buried in snow morning!

Looks like the storm is moving on.. south and east...

Snow snow snow!!!! It started about 7:15 here, earlier on the coast and in Grants Pass. All the school districts shut down and it was, as Jen said, "a cookie making day"! Travel was not a good thing to do. In fact, I had heard from PJ that Cliff and Patty came home from the coast, started up their steep driveway and slid down into a shallow ditch. Good thing Dave was staying at their house (keeping it warm and pipes from breaking) and he walked them up the hill. Car still at the bottom. Hope they can get it up to the house today.

Downtown Grants Pass:
The Daily Courier operates a real time cam.. you can go here and see it..

....and the Siskiyou Summit looking north from California..

1932Ellen Burstyn, American actress
....oh look, Ellen just burst in!

1947Johnny Bench, American baseball player
.... sounds like a command instead of a name.."You are in trouble now, Johnny, bench!"

1956Larry Bird, American basketball player and coach

Dinner was leftover turkey.... omg, so good. 2 jars Garlic Alfredo sauce, 1 can fire roasted diced tomatoes, carrots, 1 can olives, garlic, chives, mushrooms, cut up turkey, spinach fettuccini.

Cut carrots and bring to boil in salted water. Turn off heat and let stand. Saute the mushrooms. Add the Alfredo sauce to the crockpot, turn on low for 2-3 hours. Add chives and garlic.

Add the tomatoes, olives, turkey, mushrooms, and carrots to the crockpot. Cook the fettuccini in boiling salted water, drain and add to crockpot. Heat through and stir well. Keep on low or warm til serving time.

HEAVEN!

Working on Christmas projects so won't be going out in the snow. Jackson County reported 100 accidents due to  the snow yesterday. I can't even see my driveway, so will make a fire in the wood stove and stay snuggy.

All I know. Happy Saturday. Nuff said. Ciao

Always enjoy seeing you recipes and pictures. Snuggle day here too as temps dipped into to the 20's overnight and the 30's for a high today. Will do a bit more decorating and sew some gifts so they can be mailed out soon. Hug your pets and have a great day Sue. Hugs....

May the snow stay north of San Francisco.

One of our most cherished family mementos is a flag flown over the USS Arizona on our anniversary.

Yesterday's HIGH temp where Trevor is working was below zero.
