Jukebox ~ Cranberry Sauce ~ Old Photo ~ The Bruise

Good 27º, wow 4º warmer than yesterday, morning. UGH.

Then "they" say it's going to be clear all week and now it's going to be cloudy. Either the weather folks don't know what they are doing or....... it's just the weather making liars out of them by changing every half hour!

7am...

This is interesting... from email pal Mike Cipolla ....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here's a recipe I like.... EASY and GOOD!!! Won't be any leftovers!
1# (4 cups) fresh cranberries
2 cups sugar
1 orange zested
juice from orange
1/4 t. ground cinnamon
1/4 c. bourbon
Preheat oven to 350º. Combine first 4 ingredients in a 9x13 baking dish. Cover tightly with foil and bake until cranberries are tender and sugar is dissolved, stirring once, about 1 hour. Remove from oven and stir in bourbon. Cool to room temp and refrigerate sauce until well chilled. Can be prepared 1 week in advance. Transfer to bowl and serve.
Yesterday was filled to the brim with excitement... haircut/color and grocery shopping. Then it was Monday night football....  this made Jeannie happy!
... Funny cat of mine... he loves to be in the bathroom with the heater on when I'm taking a shower. He lays on my slippers and sometimes licks the inside. I stepped out of the shower, Bruise was sitting on the sink, and he reached his paw out and gently touched me (on the boob!)... LOL! This story convinces Jeannie that the Bruise is Jerry reincarnated! Here is Bruise and Maggie a year ago today...
While I was in line at Safeway yesterday, wearing a red USMC sweatshirt,
the man in front of me turned and said, "That loser in the White House probably doesn't even know what Semper Fi means." I laughed and agreed and also said, "Remember when he was talking about the Navy Corpsmen and pronounced it "CORPSE-men"!! What an idiot!!! He probably calls the Marine Corps the 'Marine Corpse'!! He certainly was NOT educated. Wonder where he bought his degree from???
All I know. Electrician Jake and pest control guy coming by today. Happy Tuesday. Nuff said. Ciao.
Going to try your cranberry sauce. Sounds wonderful, and easy. Never heard of making it in the oven.
Yes, it was a great game last night, and I was doing the happy feet dance,as you were the night before.
LOL I am still laughing about the Bruiser! That's too funny about Jerry coming back as the Bruiser. Good one!
I was looking at the later photo of Robert Goulet. Why do these old men continue to color their hair totally when they get old? A little gray here and there is so attractive. Look at my John. He's a cutie with his bit of gray.
Loved your story about your chat with the customer in Safeway! Guess he thought you were safe to make those remarks to wearing that shirt! :)
You don't generally wear a shirt sporting an icon unless you believe in it... after looking at some shirts that are worn, you wouldn't want to talk to those people! RUN!!!!!! xo
