Here's an idea.... a new twist on French Toast... Mexican
style!
Serves 4
2 eggs
1/3 cup milk
2 T granulated sugar
1/4 t. cinnamon
1/4 t. vanilla
4 (10 inch) flour tortillas
1/2 stick butter, divided
3 T. confectioners' sugar
In medium bowl whisk eggs, milk, granulated sugar, cinnamon,
and vanilla until well blended. Cut each tortilla into quarters then place in
egg mixture. Gently stir until tortillas are completely coated. Allow to soak 10
minutes until softened.
In large skillet over med-high heat, melt 1 T butter. Add 4
tortilla quarters and cook 4-5 minutes, or until golden, turning halfway through
cooking. Drain on paper towel lined plate. Repeat with remaining butter and
tortillas. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar and serve immediately.
Strawberries are a perfect topping, either fresh or frozen and thawed along with
real maple syrup.

Forty six years ago today (ugh.... has it
really been that long????) I had a 'routine' doc appointment because I was
pregnant. The doc said my baby was breech and a few other complications and I
needed to have a caesarian delivery and to meet him at the hospital the next
morning at 6am. WHAT??? TOMORAROW IS HALLOWEEN!!!

Jim's Septic Service come out and pump the
septic. Prompt, courteous, and a fast job. Matt and Josh, nice guys. They said
there was a crack in the cement tank and they could repair it...so maybe next
week or the next I will have them back to do that.
The trouble is that the idiots who remodeled this house built a bathroom
with a juccuzzi tub over the top of the septic! Duh. What jerks. It's available
through a door on the side ....
After they left Bruiser and Dude went out to inspect where they had
been.... (sorry, not a good picture...through the window with the sun shining on
it!)
They left and I was cleaning up the kitchen when the sink stopped up.
GROAN................ always something! I plunged it and plunged it until it
finally drained. Sheesh. Tired of this plumbing stuff!
Then Jake called and said he was close by and available to install the
light over the carport. Yes!
If you need electrical work, Jake Wardel is great! For you in Jackson or Josephine Co his number is 541-659-7300. Highly recommended!

Went to Elmer's in Grants Pass about 3pm ....
with my $20 certificate I bought for $10. Ordered a glass of Columbia Crest
chardonnay (nice large glass too!) and a BLT Crab Salad to go. Such a nice
restaurant, so clean, homey. Enjoyed the quiet wine time and came home with the
salad...
Lettuce, avocado, bacon, olives, tomatoes, hard boiled egg, and topped with
fresh crab. OMGOOD!!!! Their ranch dressing was awesome too! Hadn't been there
in a long time. Going back. Want to try a bunch of other stuff on the
menu!
All I know. Happy Hump Day. Nuff said. Ciao.

So Sue was Kristen born on Halloween? Foggy memory here. It's a fun birthdate and everyone remembers it easily. :)
Oh dear. Sriracha is our very favorite hot sauce and is now a staple at our house. Hope it gets settled. I can imagine with the odor and fumes escaping from their factory it must make the eyes sting.
Love the candy corn on the cob! Lucky Brian!

Yes, Kristen was my little Halloween girl. Brian is my Valentine's Day boy! How'd I do that??? LOL.
Well OF COURSE! I remember that now! We talked about Kristen and Isabella sharing the same bday!
XO Trisha
p.s. John III was SUPPOSED to be born on Valentine's Day but he was stubborn and was born exactly a week later! Eric too, a week exactly after his due date! lol
