Kristen ~ Isabella ~ Hardin ~ The Gang at Blondie's

Good 35ยบ  stars in the sky morning ... somewhat cloudy. Yesterday morning 7:30am:

My friend Ann sent this out to some people (and me)....

"I have a friend that has a blog page.  It is a free page to design, and free to look at.  At the top of her page is a counter of how many people have visited her page since its inception.  Here is today's count as of October 29:

And the Obamacare administrator says that they have no idea how many people have visited their website even though the cost of the website cost taxpayers millions $$$$."

I guess the Red Sox did it last night, beards and all. 6-1 over the Cards.....

"10-31" ... 'request unit and frequency'

There are more 10 codes, but not enough days in October for them all....

10-33 ... request emergency clearance

10-34 ... request routine clearance

10-36 ... correct time

10-37 ... identify operator

10-38 ... request clearance to run subjects

10-39 ... request to clear call

10-97 ... arrived at scene

10-98 ... finished assignment

Yesterday a bunch of us (Joe JoAnn Kirk, JoAnn's mom Mrs Oddo, Dale Dee Yellin, Bill Jeannie Patterson, Tammy, and me) all met at Blondie's for a reunion with the Kirks.

We had this back room all to ourselves...

and our orders were from rum & coke, habaรฑero martinis, chardonnay, lemon drop martinis... potato skins stuffed with cheese/bacon/green onion and a ranch dip
, ahi tuna, and other things.....  all good! <g>

The Kirks moved to the coast and we don't see them much any more. It was a fun, very chatty get-together.

When we arrived we were greeted by Dee and Dale's dog Sami in their truck by the restaurant entrance. On the way out Jeannie stopped to say goodbye to her..... LOL....

All I know. HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Ciao.

Good 32ยบ everything is frozen again morning.
Yesterday the septic guys were coming early, just after 8am, and I had to go open the gate. GADZZZZZ it was COLD!! I took the golf cart and Dude got in his morning run, but Geeze Louise I was frozen! I know, wuss! Whine whine whine!
"10-30" ... Transmission does not conform to regulations...

Here's an idea.... a new twist on French Toast... Mexican style!

Serves 4
2 eggs
1/3 cup milk
2 T granulated sugar
1/4 t. cinnamon
1/4 t. vanilla
4 (10 inch) flour tortillas
1/2 stick butter, divided
3 T. confectioners' sugar
In medium bowl whisk eggs, milk, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla until well blended. Cut each tortilla into quarters then place in egg mixture. Gently stir until tortillas are completely coated. Allow to soak 10 minutes until softened.
In large skillet over med-high heat, melt 1 T butter. Add 4 tortilla quarters and cook 4-5 minutes, or until golden, turning halfway through cooking. Drain on paper towel lined plate. Repeat with remaining butter and tortillas. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar and serve immediately. Strawberries are a perfect topping, either fresh or frozen and thawed along with real maple syrup.

Forty six years ago today (ugh.... has it really been that long????) I had a 'routine' doc appointment because I was pregnant. The doc said my baby was breech and a few other complications and I needed to have a caesarian delivery and to meet him at the hospital the next morning at 6am. WHAT??? TOMORAROW IS HALLOWEEN!!!

Jim's Septic Service come out and pump the septic. Prompt, courteous, and a fast job. Matt and Josh, nice guys. They said there was a crack in the cement tank and they could repair it...so maybe next week or the next I will have them back to do that.
The trouble is that the idiots who remodeled this house built a bathroom with a juccuzzi tub over the top of the septic! Duh. What jerks. It's available through a door on the side ....

After they left Bruiser and Dude went out to inspect where they had been.... (sorry, not a good picture...through the window with the sun shining on it!)

They left and I was cleaning up the kitchen when the sink stopped up. GROAN................ always something! I plunged it and plunged it until it finally drained. Sheesh. Tired of this plumbing stuff!

Then Jake called and said he was close by and available to install the light over the carport. Yes!

If you need electrical work, Jake Wardel is great! For you in Jackson or Josephine Co his number is 541-659-7300. Highly recommended!

Went to Elmer's in Grants Pass about 3pm ....
with my $20 certificate I bought for $10. Ordered a glass of Columbia Crest chardonnay (nice large glass too!) and a BLT Crab Salad to go. Such a nice restaurant, so clean, homey. Enjoyed the quiet wine time and came home with the salad...
Lettuce, avocado, bacon, olives, tomatoes, hard boiled egg, and topped with fresh crab. OMGOOD!!!! Their ranch dressing was awesome too! Hadn't been there in a long time. Going back. Want to try a bunch of other stuff on the menu!
All I know. Happy Hump Day. Nuff said. Ciao.
