Good 60º cloudy and 72% humidity morning. Looked like it
might rain and really windy last night, but doesn't feel like rain. Pressure was
dropping for a while but going back up.
Baseball fans.....this is hilarious! "Did you catch that?" "Ha
ha ha... yes I did!"
PICTURE of the day...

Historically this date....
1901 – Vice
President of the United States Theodore Roosevelt
utters the famous phrase, "Speak softly and carry a big stick" at the Minnesota State

... the Japanese surrendered on my Mother's birthday, August 15th... and
signed the treaty on my birthday! Cool. AND then my Brian was stationed aboard
the Mighty Mo when he was a Marine. Anti-terrorist watch, guarding the atomic
weapons during the Gulf War ... Marine Detachment.

... during my ballet years in the '60's I took lessons from her father,
Ernest Belcher. "trainer and coach of many film performers, including Beth Beri,
Mary Pickford, Pola Negri, Ramon Navarro, Nanette Fabray and Shirley
Temple".
Yesterday afternoon PJ and Dave had a barbecue. It was to celebrate Dave's
birthday (9-12), PJ's sister Mike's birthday (8-27), and mine. Debbie was all
set with props.... birthday girl got the tiara...
Since the "theme" was Asian food.... Pam (Mike's partner) came in
appropriate attire... with her egg... set it on the counter and it rolls! Get
it... egg roll!
PJ fixed spectacular pork marinated with yummmm ingredients and Dave
barbecued it.
We had egg rolls (lol), pot stickers, pork, coleslaw, corn, rice with peas
(YUMMMMM!!!) and Debbie's Jell-O/cream cheese/pretzel salad (AWESOME!)
Deb... would you please share the recipe???? Please!!!
L-R Dave, Debbie, Tom, me, Pam, PJ, and Tim...
Sadly Tim's partner, PatC was not feeling well, and Pam's partner Mike was
in Redmond Washington pet-sitting for a sister.
Then out came the chopsticks!
Dessert was one of Tom's famous lemon mirangue pies! Sigh... so good.
Gifts were shared. Thank you all!!!
Pam left her headband and Dave picked up the theme...
Thank you Debbie for the photos!!!!

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY DATE OF BIRTH my friend!
Looks like as usual your friends outdid themselves with the celebration!
Hey, that Jello/pretzel recipe is the one I made for my last bunco for dessert. Will email you the recipe. mmmmmgood. Judy fell in love with it because she can't eat nuts and the pretzel base tasted just like crushed nuts.
We toured the Mighty Mo in Pearl Harbor. Great history there. Dangit I never did find the photos I took aboard. Strange, huh? All the rest turned out fine.
Hugs and have a great day all day!
