Dinner last night
was something I had not made before.. a pizza with refrigerated pizza dough....
I used 2 cans of sliced mushrooms, 1 can salmon, 3 mini Babybel cheeses, one of
Jeannie's Anaheim chilis, and shredded mixed
cheese...
Spread out the
dough, cook for 5-8 minutes, then I slathered mayonnaise on the crust, added the
mushrooms, salmon, chili, Babybel broken into pieces, and the shredded
cheese...
bake 400º 10-12
minutes.
YUMMMMMMMMM!!!! OMG,
so good when you bite into one of those pockets of Babybel! Salmon was perfect
and made it taste like you were not being bad! Anaheim chili was just enough
bite!
Then I watched a
Hallmark movie and part of Jay Leno.... Simon Cowell was on. CREEP!!! He never
dresses. He wore a t-shirt. Then when he goes to sit down, like a girl, he puts
his foot under him on the chair. WHAT A DORK!
I couldn't stand it
any more, so turned it off! You have to feel sorry for the baby he has fathered!
Gadzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....
All I know. Happy
House Cleaning Saturday. Fund raiser spaghetti feed tonight at the Elks. Nuff
said. Ciao.

Neither Rain
Nor Snow Day
Right now, we bet you're thinking "this special
day is about a tranquil weather day with neither rain nor snow" ....wrong.
Here's the real scoop on this special day:
Neither Rain Nor Snow Day celebrates the
opening of the New York Post Office building on this day in 1914.
This following inscription was inscribed on the
building:
"Neither snow nor rain not heat nor gloom of night ,stays
these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds."
Here is the second misconception: A lot of people assume
the inscription represents the Post Office motto. This assumption is incorrect.
But, this inscription is very close to the old Pony Express rider's motto. Which
leads to a third misconception.. ......The Pony Express was not a government
funded predecessor to today's Post Office. The Pony Express was a courier and
message delivery service. However, it was privately owned and funded.
Now that we have the history and trivia out of the way,
let's go and enjoy the day. We hope you use Neither Rain Nor Snow Day to
show your appreciation to your postal delivery people, especially those who walk
their routes.

Hey "Sow Sista", good morning.
That video was great. I thought the officer held it together well. Deep down he probably wanted to belt her. OMG, crazy lady.
Your pizza looked great. I would have never thought to spread mayo on a pizza crust. Leave it to you to be original. I did drool.
Off to do outdoor chores. Thanks for the blog and see ya later. xo
Jeannie
Oh, BTW, Peter Lawford was a good looking man, don't ya think?
Yes, Mr. Lawford was a charmer~ Have fun in the garden. See you tonight. xo
LOL LOL Oh you were right! That camera guy was a HOOT with his comments! He was obviously black too so he could get away with some of that but if a white person had said those things, probably be arrested in this day and time! :( The thing that amazed me were all the officers that got there. You couldn't see the original one calling for back up. I was wondering why that fire department ambulance? was there. That was entertaining!! Thanks!
I am with Jeannie, I would have never thought to put mayo on pizza OR salmon for that matter. Never saw a pizza with out red pizza sauce. Looked so rich and good.
Yes we are melting and the Edison company turned off our A/C's for three hours yesterday afternoon! Thank goodness we have an A/C heat pump in the big family room.
Have fun tonight!
XO Trisha
Don't know why the ambulance, unless someone thought it might be needed!
The pizza was great. You could also brush the dough with just olive oil... but the mayo made it richer. How does Edison turn off only your AC's? and not all the electricity???
Tonight should be good... xoxox
Sue, we have one of those "Summer discount programs" that allows them to turn off A/C during high usage times to keep the grid from shutting down for all. Many have it but I am wondering just how much we are saving by being on this program. They have turned it off three times this summer.

The irony of both Obama and Kerry's position makes the job to convince America that action against weapons of mass destruction will not be tolerated. Then there is that other problem called indecision. If something is right- why play mother-may-I?
Perhaps if they come clean with what happened in Benghazi and did what they said they would do with the IRS- hold the wrong doers to account- perhaps they would learn such are the actions which regain trust when words have undermined it.
Great video of the LAPD take down.....
Simon adopted that T-shirt look as
his signature attire. Too bad nobody
has been able to convince him that
look is 'dorky'... even on him while
riding in his Rolls Royce.
