September 4th
National Macadamia Nut Day

Daddy had a macadamia nut tree and he lovingly cared for it. Not something that grows and thrives well in So. Cal. because of the frost. He grew bushels full, we cracked the super hard shells in the vice in his shop, put the nuts on a cookie sheet over night in the oven with just the gas pilot, and they were PERFECT!

Onion & Garlic??? I'm going to HAVE to get some of those!

We visited the Mauna Loa plant while on our Hawaii cruise. Bought way too much of the chocolate coverd ones. When we got home I noticed them in the stores and cheaper than what we bought over there! :(

Same as the Kona (?) coffee. I bought a pound bag while there and much cheaper here. I guess they are wise to the tourists.

WOW! Mitzi Gaynor still alive? She looks fabulous!

Interesting maps! Funny the most alcohol is the US and drink of choice, beer! Interesting stuff!
