The other day I
ordered some Mauna Loa Macadamia Nuts in a set from Amazon. There are 2 of the
dry roasted, a garlic and onion, Kona coffee glazed, honey roasted, and
chocolate covered. OMG! I can't decide which ones I like best!!!

Dude and I went to
the road yesterday, I rode, he ran. He sure loves doing that. It was nice, not
70º yet. Then I made thank you cards and some birthday cards. Melted caramels
and scooped out apples to make the caramel apple treats. Well I did
"somethings" wrong! First I scooped out the apples with a
mellon-baller...
... and yes that
mellon-baller looks old...it was my Mom's.
Melted the caramels
in the microwave. Big mistake. Too hot for too long and I thought the microwave
was on fire!!!
All the AC fans
went on high, ceiling fans on high, exhaust fan on high. Geeeze.......
So tried again
according to the back of the caramels package... added a drop of water,
microwaved lower heat and less time...
Trouble is, the
caramel never got hard again! Runny. Will have to ask Laura how she did hers!
Sigh.....
All I know. Happy

Teddy Bear
Day
This is exactly
what mine looks like. Teddy is in a trunk somewhere. Given to me when I was born
by my Aunt Agnes. Kept him with me all the time.
Today is Teddy Bear Day. A Teddy Bear is a special friend to children
all over the world. He's cuddly. He makes you feel secure in an otherwise
insecure world. He's lovable. Your Teddy Bear is both a companion and a
comforter. And, he's not afraid of the dark. He'll keep you safe.
Spend the day and night with your teddy bear . Cuddle up to him. Talk to him.
And, do all of your favorite things together.
Parents and adults: No child should grow up without a teddy bear. If you know
of any kid without one, use this day to buy a teddy bear for them.
As we become adults, some find it difficult to give up our teddy bears. We
feel there is no reason to give him up. Some adults have their teddy bears
around all their lives. Its perfectly normal....and okay.

I will have to post the pic I posted on Kev's page of Sunshine Bear recently. He asked and asked if we had found it yet. Dad looked all over our storage unit, no luck. Then I went looking in Eric's closet (was Kev's room) and there he was under lots of stuff. Grandma Bowler gave him Sunshine Bear and Daryl "Bow Wow" dog on her last Christmas on this earth. They were 4 years old.
Loved the doggie water video. We have never had a dog who liked the water. Dad would have to bar the door to their house and close all gates when it was bath time. I thought Labs like the water! :(
I must have been 11 or 12 when Miss Yoder allowed us girls at Parnell to watch Elvis on the Ed Sullivan Show. I was shocked that she allowed that as she was a devout Quaker woman. Will always remember that show and Elvis The Pelvis!!
