Good 63º SUPER smokey morning. Worst it's been.
Never cooled
off much last night. Kept AC on all night and the dogs in! Although, Mr. Bruiser
didn't want to come in and is off on one of his 'adventures'. I pray he comes
home soon!
We're to get t-storms, not good, hope the rain comes but not
the lightening. Jeannie wrote she heard thunder already!
Radar: Satellite:
Very sorry to hear our friend Jo Ann Kirk's father passed away
last night. RIP Joe Oddo! Jo Ann, you have our love.
Jo Ann is wife of Joe Krik, LASD ret... Lakewood Stn, Avalon. Joe Oddo ran a restaurant in Rogue River and then a pawn shop in Grants Pass.
Yesterday I had an eye doc appointment in the afternoon..
(1022 NW 6th St, Grants Pass...So. Or. Eye Care
Clinic)
They took pictures of the inside of my eye through the pupil,
ran all the eye tests (EFGTXZ ... can you read the bottom line?) and all that,
dilated my eyes, doc checked them thoroughly and said they look great! A very
slight deviation in my glasses prescription from last year... not much.
Yeah!
Left there and went to Bill and Jeannie's. I took them a couple of the
Jalapeño Cheesecakes I made and some banana bread. Jeannie gave me some bounty
from her garden... cukes, heirloom tomatoes, her zucchini bread (that is
awesome!) and some homemade pickles. YUMMMM!!!! We had wine and chatted.
Home to cook dinner.... Sabatino's Smoked Mozzarella with Artichokes and
Garlic Chicken Sausage (Costco), pasta, mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, onion, cheese, and
Creamy Basil Pesto sauce..... (Archer Farms I get it at Target)
I sauteéd the cooked pasta with the sausage, added in the sun dried
tomatoes and mushrooms, some white wine and the onion. Then the pesto sauce, and
topped with cheese. OMGOOOOOD!!!!

August 7th
National Lighthouse Day
The picture above is one I took at
Peggy's
Cove Nova Scotia in 2008.
On this
day in 1789, the U.S. Congress enacted legislation allowing the federal
government control over the creation and maintenance of lighthouses. This
special day evolved out of this event, and in recent years, through efforts to
preserve lighthouses as an important historical symbol in America.

I have always laughed at the thought that Charlize Theron is an African-American! What?? lol
Oh my, those fires aren't out yet? Soon I hope!
Tell me, if they dilate your eyes, how long does that last? You had to drive home!
As always, dinner looked yummy.
Hope Mr. Brusier comes home today!
XO Trisha
It will be a long time until the fires are out. Probably through the summer.
I had sunglasses, or they give you some, as your eyes are sensative after the dilation. Things were a bit fuzzy but I could drive ok.
The Bruise came home at 9am! Brat. Makes me worry. xo
