Rain! ~ Cats & Vacuums ~ Corn on the Cob ~ Gail and Chuck & Linda ~ Chorizo w/ Soba Noodles ~ Son & Daughter Day

Good 54º foggy (?) morning.

Yesterday afternoon Ashland and parts of South Medford were getting hit by hail. Pear growers are worried, as the hail scars the fruit. We got rain, about 10-15 minutes of hard rain. Nice, but the wind was still blowing the fires.  Took this about 3:15pm just before the rain started....

Yesterday I had the vacuum out, Bruiser was eating, so I took the nozzle and just put it at the end of his tail.... just enough to make it wiggle...he did nothing, just kept eating!

 

Yesterday was a "putter" day. Laundry, vacuuming (ugh), dusting.......

Also, I like to mix taco seasoning with mayonnaise as a spread on cooked corn .. or mix in hot sauce, or chili sauce, or pesto, or add taco seasoning to butter and mix well ... use to slather on cooked corn. Sprinkle on some Parmesan cheese. Get out of your "butter only on corn" rut!

 

 

A birthday today ... friend Gail Harris, wife of Just Plain Bruce Harris (LASD Ret) is celebrating her special day. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GAIL!!!

 

And, Patty & Cliff's son Chuck and his bride Linda are celebrating their anniversary today. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY KIDS!!!

Dinner last night.... Soba noodles with sauce, chorizo, celery, carrots, tomatoes, baby spinach...   Cook chorizo, add noodles and veggies, add sauce. Easy. GOOD!!!!
