Good 50º morning. Yesterday was about 10º cooler than the day
before. We'll see what today brings....
Yesterday was our JCRW (Jackson County Republican Women) luncheon. Guest
speaker was Dennis Richardson. He's our district state rep. He was born and
raised in Highland Park and South Gate. Helicopter pilot in Viet Nam. His wife,
Cathy, of 40 years grew up in Tustin. They have 8 daughters and 1 son and 30
grandchildren!!! One on the way. Such good and nice people. Hard job fighting
the Dems in Salem who want big budgets, raise taxes, and give away money!
Sigh.....
Also at our lunch was Sal Esquivel the Medford state rep and his wife Jan
(past president of our JCRW)... another great couple! He works hard in Salem
too.
Lunch was good... ribs, salad, potato, and chocolate parfait ..
I had a fun chat with my friends Lorraine Anderson and Leanne Wood. Pat
Tracy joined our table and poor thing has some wasp bites that have made her
miserable.... Hope you feel better soon Pat!
Then to Costco and home. Left about 4:30 and headed to
Applegate Ranch for Jen's birthday dinner...
They do a barbecue every couple of Thursdays. The
entertainment was a singer/guitar player. He was good.
The food was awesome! I had the barbecued chicken and it had the BEST
sauce on it! They also had ribs, salads, iced tea, water, wine, beer, JD in the black, desserts.... Just a great place to go!
Dee and Dale Yellin showed up with some of their friends... good to see them!

Sami lost another tooth!
The birthday girl had a good time.... the entertainer, Mike, sang happy
birthday to her..... the kids had fun running around and Sami caught a frog....
did cartwheels.... Nice evening!
My friend Donna Walsh was there... she's the "Wolf" artist... she took a
picture of the kids...
If you live here or will be visiting in the summer.. The Applegate Valley
Ranch is a great place to eat and relax...
I'm making a Smilebox, but will publish that tomorrow...
Saw and met several people at the ranch... as I said my
friend, Donna Walsh, http://www.hipart.com/walsh1.html ..
Brian was playing horseshoes with Robert Hamlyn who owns
Hellgate JetBoats and the shop and restaurant.. http://www.hellgate.com/about.php
and I met Chris Martin, the owner of Troon Vineyards... http://www.troonvineyard.com/pages/Team-Troon
Also, a friend of Dee and Dale, Dennis Shoup and his wife Dee
(I know.. another Dee!) used to own The Yankee Potroast in Grants Pass. They
sold in 1990 and it's now closed.... :O(
The other day Patty bought and dropped off a new kind of
wine... It's called Stacked. There are 4 glasses all "zipped" together. Handy
for taking on picnics...wine and glass all in one! I haven't tried the wine yet,
may take it over to BFF's and we can try it together. Will let you
know...
I got some new sheets... soft, silky, with beautiful lace on
them .. and a new throw for the bed for summer....
The cost was amazingly low... $21 for the sheets and I think the throw was $9. I like to shop at www.nomorerack.com

good blog (as usual), love the stack wine (you told us about last night) and also the nomorerack.com.... that will take awhile to look at everything. never heard of it before... dee
Wow, you had a very busy, funfilled day!
Sami looks so cute with her missing teeth. She sure is keeping the tooth fairy busy. What a great evening that must have been for all of you. Fun, fun!
The stacked wine looks interesting. Convenient, now to taste it. LOL
I will go back and read the history later, off to make breakfast. Thanks for the blog.
Have a wonderful day. xo
Jeannie
Thanks Dee and Jeannie! Yes, Sami is making $$ big time! LOL. Don't forget to take pictures of your breakfast cooking adventure with your friends. xoxo
LOL I had to laugh at Sami and her missing teeth. I just saw an episode of Modern Family where Lilly had put her tooth under her pillow and the "tooth fairy" mistakenly put a $100 bill under there. Her dads had a heck of a time getting her to give it back. LOL
Sami has such beautiful hair. Looks like spun gold.
Don't you just hate it when you have two eating events in one day? I sure do. You have to hurry and get hungry for the next one.
Sure looked like a fun event for the birthday girl!
I am always amazed at all the friends you run into every where you go!! Good to have so many friends.
Love the looks of the stacked wine. Now I need to go back and read about it. Let us know how it tastes.
XO Trisha
Thanks T... the lunch choice was only ribs but the dinner was ribs and/or chicken. Good thing. I certainly enjoy sitting outside there and having a glass of wine with the great view. As for friends, I am SO blessed to know so many nice nice people! You know, small towns!! Will do re the Stack Wine! xo
Glad you had such a fun birthday party/dinner for Jen. Nice pictures, thanks.
Have a great day.
Hugs, Erika
