Easter Photos ~ Bruiser ~ 10 Misconceptions ~ Egg in Biscuit Cup

Good 49º raining April 1st morning. 1/2" rain since yesterday.

Yesterday was one wet Easter! Started drizzling by 8am and when I got to Brian and Jen's it was full blown raining! The kids did their Easter Egg hunt with umbrellas! Jen fixed brunch, quiche and the ham I brought. GOOD!!! Jean made a lemon cake. Yummmmmm..... Here are the pictures in Smilebox form:

So... I come home to go through the Easter pictures and Bruiser is happy happy to see me. He gets on my desk and lays in the middle of everything! Well, he did move over and lay on my mouse pad............ sigh.... makes it hard to work. But he's a love so I put up with him.

After seeing the 8 animal misconceptions yesterday, you should be ready for this one. HILARIOUS...watch til the end!!!

Historically this date...
1891 – The Wrigley Company is founded in Chicago, Illinois.

1893 – The rank of Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy is established.
Just exactly how petty can an officer be????

1924Adolf Hitler is sentenced to five years in jail for his participation in the "Beer Hall Putsch". However, he spends only nine months in jail, during which he writes Mein Kampf.

1970 – President Richard Nixon signs the Public Health Cigarette Smoking Act into law, requiring the Surgeon General's warnings on tobacco products and banning cigarette advertisements on television and radio in the United States, starting on January 1, 1971.

Ok, you people who are STILL smoking, shame on you .... you know the risks. Death. Not good. Come on.... QUIT!!!!!

And births this date include..
1929 – Jane Powell, American actress, singer, and dancer

1932 – Debbie Reynolds, American actress

1939Ali MacGraw, American actress

1961Susan Boyle, Scottish singer

I made these and they were GOOD!! Patty requested the recipe...

1 lb pepper bacon or .... regular, I used turkey bacon.
1/2 cup finely chopped onion , I used fresh chives.
1 can (16.3 oz) Pillsbury® Grands!® Homestyle refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
8 eggs
1/2 cup shredded smoked Cheddar cheese (2 oz) or your favorite, I used Swiss.

1 Heat oven to 350°F. In 10-inch skillet, cook bacon until crisp; remove from pan to paper towels, and crumble. Remove all but 1 tablespoon bacon drippings from skillet. Add onion to skillet; cook and stir about 2 minutes or until onion is tender. In small bowl, mix onion and bacon. Set aside.

2 Spray 8 jumbo muffin cups or 8 (6-oz) custard cups with cooking spray. Separate dough into 8 biscuits. Place 1 biscuit in each muffin cup, pressing dough three-fourths of the way up sides of cups. Divide bacon mixture evenly among biscuit cups; crack an egg over each. Top with cheese.

3 Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until egg whites and yolks are firm, but not runny. Run small knife around cups to loosen. Serve immediately.

Good morning!
Looks like you had a wonderful Easter. GREAT smilebox. Seems like fun was had by all, even Atlas. As always, Jen's table was set beautifully, and the food looked awesome.
That crazy Bruise. He is so cute. I can see how it would be difficult to work, he doesn't give you much room. LOL
Egg and biscuit recipe looks good, and the pictures of the sourdough bread, OMG, as you would say, drooling.
Have fun paying bills on this soggy Monday. Chat later, off to start my day. Oh, Happy April Fool's Day...You better be on your toes today. xo

Rain didn't dampen your Easter! Those egg cups look devine. Nothing is better for making a day go better than tearing off a yeasty piece off a sourdough loaf.

@ Jeannie, I think Bill got me with April Fools yesterday by refusing to answer the phone when he knew it was ME! Thanks Billy. Return favor is warranted. xo
