Good 42º cloudy with prospects of rain morning.
Yesterday was Sami's 5th birthday and Jen did a spectacular job on the
party, as usual!
Pictures to follow .... probably a Smilebox. The theme was
horses and Jen hired two ladies with a Shetland pony and a miniature pony for
the kids to ride. They love it! Jen made stick ponies for all the kids, had
certificates of adoption for each pony and child and they had a pony obstacle
course! Also a horseshoe pinata! So, stand by for that. Will take me a while to
organize the photos! AND, rain was predicted ... a storm moving in from the coast, but it didn't rain!!! Yeah! Well, until late last night!
For the past few days I have played with the leftovers I had from the
couscous and vegetables.
I had some fake crab and sweet peppers....
So I cut up the peppers and sauteéd them with the fake crab, added the
coucous veggie mix
and it was AWESOMELY good!!
THEN..... yesterday I took the leftovers of that and heated it, adding in
some chicken stock, mushrooms, seasonings.... and had soup!
OMGOOD!!!!!

Hi Sue: I can't wait to see the pictures from Sami's Birthday Party. I heard it was a success. I love your Blog!
Jimmy
Wish you could have been here, Jimmy!! xo
Sue,
So looking forward to the Smilebox of Sami's bdy party. As I always say, Jen needs to have her own business as a party planner. I have never seen such a talented mom!
Me? All I ever did was order pizza, chips, drinks and a cake for the boys swimming bday parties.
You sure do know how to make a meal stretch!! Some folks are just so talented!!
Love the pics of Bruiser. He is probably the prettiest kitty I have every seen. Such a love.

Thanks T, I hope Jen does start her party business, it would be awesome. As for streaching meals, I will have to blog a recipe I found for soup using leftover potato salad. Sounded GREAT! The Bruise is a real love, for sure. xo
Leftover potato salad around is like leftover wine, WHAT IS THAT?? lol
