Good 49º drizzly morning. We've gotten 1/2" since yesterday. The rain came
in waves.... soft rain, sun, hard rain. All day!
This video is funny. It's in China but you don't need to understand Chinese
to enjoy the fun. Thanks Deeewayne Honneee P-berger for this!
A few pictures..... one of the night sky... the deer out in the pasture and
then yesterday morning...a rainbow! and the sun just hitting the top of the
mountain....
At Costco they had Ocean Mist artichokes. YEAH! When the California chokes
are not in season they have the ones from Mexico, which I refuse to buy. Scary.
I cooked two chokes yesterday. I like to drizzle on lemon juice, some olive oil,
sprinkle on garlic powder and a little sea salt. (Makes for great pot liquor!!) And with the oil, lemon, and garlic I cook them in they can be eaten just as they are. Very tasty!!!
Today is a pretty friend's birthday. Liz (Arredondo) Duncan. She is busy
with her Sgt. career with LASD. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIZ!!! (with her beautiful
daughter Alexis)
And.....today is Jimmy (Sgt. LASD) and Olga's little guy, Aidan's birthday.
HAPPY 10th BIRTHDAY AIDAN!
Historically this date...
Lots of stuff happened. Mostly boring stuff.
Births this date include....
.........gag....................
First of all... watch/read the following if you buy shellfish...
I will not buy/eat shellfish from Vietnam or Thialand or China ..... pig
feces and human feces have been found in their shrimp ponds..... along with lots
of chemicals to prevent bacterial diseases.
Since yesterday was paella day, I made some. I found some shrimp (harvested
in Texas) and scallops (US coastal) in the freezer, asparagus on hand, sweet
peppers, grape tomatoes, celery, and Mexican flavored rice. So.... sauté the
veggies in olive oil. Set aside in bowl. Sauté the shrimp and scallops in veggie
liquid/oil. Set aside. Add 2 cups of rice to pan, add 3 cups water, the veggies
and cook until the liquid is gone. Stir in the shellfish and serve. (or use Jasmin rice!)
Soooooo good!!!!! Love that Uncle Ben's Mexican infused rice!
All I know. Staples today for coupon items, ink, and some free stuff. Happy
Thursday. Ciao.

Sue,
I am sitting here still laughing out loud at the elephant eating the phone! Those girls were such a hoot! Amazing that the man found it in the poop. I wonder how much later that was. Did you notice that the girl wouldn't take it from him. HOW would you clean a phone after that?? LOL Too funny! Wonder if it still worked!
I loved seeing "Berta" from 2-1/2 Men as a young girl. She is my age. She is so funny but I would have fired her a-- a long time ago if I had a housekeeper with her 'tude! LOL
Your din din looked amazing! You will have enough for lunch and dinner today unless you have some for breakfast.
Have a good one!
XO Trisha
Personally I think I would 'write off' that phone! Yes, Berta looked different. She's a nut! And yes, breakfast!!! xo
When your "life" can fit on a phone, it is time to get a bigger life.
Something on a stick? Perhaps a glass full of wooden skewers next to a bowl of fruit with a note to "just stick it" ???? Could be dangerous if the humor didn't come across.
Yummmm I'll be over for dinner for some of that sea food rice. You create some great looking dishes.
