Good 26º morning. Burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr......................... I doubt if
there is much out there that isn't frozen! Not different from last year on this
date... same temperature!
Grass..... frozen!
My pal Jeannie told me she got some awesome bread in California at Safeway.
It's their 'Artisan Kalamata Olive' bread. I asked her if she could get it in
Grants Pass at the Safeway and she said they didn't have it. I called and they
do!! Apparently they get some in every morning, but it sells out fast. I had
them hold the last loaf they had, for me. I dashed off and picked it up. Came
home and had some, dipped in garlic infused olive oil. OMGOOOOOD!!!!!
While shopping at Safeway I was talking to the produce guy. His name is
Harley. I told him about my cat Harley
, who recently passed away at 22. I told him
how he was named after Jerry's new Harley Davidson Fat Boy
.....and he laughed, and said his last name is Davis... and he also has a son
who is Harley...that would be Harley Davis' son. OH MY GOSH!
Here is my stack of wood that The Timinator cut and split for me....
It will dry out now through the summer and be ready for next winter.
Yesterday the Pacific Power guys came out and pulled the old utility pole
out of the ground.
They filled the hole with dirt and gravel. Now when Frank is ready to cut the pole for the bridge repair, he won't have to take it down first!
Historically this date...
All I
know. Nuff said. Happy Friday. Marine Corps League dinner tonight. Will go.
Ciao.

I am so sorry- I had no idea Harley had passed away. Bless your heart. When did this happen? Tammy
Go back to my blog (archives on left) to February 16. Harley died on the 15th. xo
Bread sounds yummy.
So do they ordinarily let you keep the old pole or do they take them away? Did you request that they leave it for your use?
Curious about when you bring the wood from where it's stacked to your porch to use, do you have a wagon or something to load it onto so you don't have to make a bunch of trips?
mmmmpeanut clusters! Two of my fav things together. Yum!

Hi T, yes if you request the pole stay then they are happy and don't have to haul it away. Lots of farmers/ranchers here use them for fence posts. I have a wheelbarrow, and it has two front wheels, so it doesn't tip over. One trip will last a few days. xo
One big change I've lived to see are the wonderful breads that now fill even standard grocery stores.
Have fun at your dinner!
thanks for the food review, Sue! I want to try that bread, I love some of the great breads the stores are stocking now. And I love Lester Holt also, good news anchor, great voice and he also has a Border Collie!
I was having a barn sale on those days. Keeps me pretty busy. So sorry I am just now finding out. I know how much you loved him. xxoo
Thanks Tammy! xo
