Good 30º foggy morning....
On Wednesday Bill Patterson introduced me to Dierks Bentley and his 5150 song. If you like COUNTRY this is fun...
Our phone guy showed up about 10-ish and climbed poles, worked on several
and finally cured the "problem", whatever it was. Bob is a super nice guy and
knows his phone stuff!
Today is a special friend's birthday... Lydia Plunk. She is one of the So
Cal Daily Drivel Gals.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY LYDIA!!!
L writes a gardening blog.. with sidetracks on movies she's seen and places
she goes. You can see it at:
Today is also Phil Santisteven's birthday. Phil retired officially from
LASD as of 12-30-12. Congratulations Phil and enjoy your retirement!
Historically this date...
1847 – Samuel
Colt sells his first revolver pistol to the
United
States government.
....Oh
man, shootin' a Colt .45 is awesome!
1865 – The
New
York Stock Exchange opens its first
permanent headquarters at 10-12 Broad near Wall
Street in New
York, New York.
Dinner
was bacon wrapped filet cooked on George Foreman grill (too cold to be
outside!), sauteéd red & yellow bell peppers, and tomato. YUMMMMMMM!!!
Thinking
about a rerun of the steak on a sandwich for lunch!
All I know. Well,
my granddaughter was on a date last night. Sigh.... haven't heard how that went
yet! Sixteen is a frightening age for parents and grandparents. We know! Nuff
said. Ciao. Happy TGIF!
January 4th
National Spaghetti
Day
(like my Brian, I
prefer angel hair pasta!)
Spaghetti alla
Bolognese (meat sauce), Alfredo with garlic shrimp and broccoli, or fresh
tomatoes, bell peppers, garlic, and basil in olive oil....

WONDERFUL!! Glad you have it fixed!!
I do have a question. How did you get "Hoppin Bill" out of "Hoppin John"? Just the variation of the recipe?
XO Trisha

Mike
Thanks Mike!!
LOL Trish. You have a "John" so I thought since I modified the recipe I'd modify the name too. xo
