Good 33º Burrrrrr morning. Supposed to get 'sun' for a couple days and then
snow predicted for Monday.
Crazy weather. Started snowing yesterday morning at 9am. It was 33º.
"Sticking" wasn't happening. Warmed to 35º. Snowed all day, but nothing on the
ground. All up the mountain several hundred feet above. As of right now the summit doesn't look inviting ... nobody going either direction except for a Trooper!
.... and we do have a little snow 'stuck' on the ground and the barn roof:
Such good news arrived yesterday... my friend James (Jimmy) Hellmold is
being promoted to Assistant Sheriff (LASD) on December 30th and will command
Field Ops Regions I, II, III, Detective Div, and Homeland Security Div. Wow!
Congratulations Jimmy!!!!! So deserved. HUGS to you! Know your family is so proud of you. Me too!
This "suggestion" from my friend Cyndi Moreno (wife of ret Pete LASD)
.... :o)
I made soup in the crockpot and had it for dinner on Wednesday and
Thursday. Ingredients:
chicken stock (+ some left from cooking chicken thighs for Maggie), a can
artichoke hearts + liquid, mushrooms, cabbage, mini raviolis, fettuccini,
broccoli slaw, radishes, zucchini, leek, and green bell pepper. Cooked on low 2
hours.
Then.............. yesterday I added to the leftover soup a package of
frozen baby peas, a can of Kirkland Roast Beef in beef broth (this is really
good and makes great quick tacos or taquitos~!), and a carton of beef broth!
OMGOOD!!!!
So, last night was a fire, soup, and more Hallmark movies!
In two days you are going to have to learn how to write "2013" ... (lol, I
just wrote 2012.... !) I still write checks for stuff so this won't be easy for
a while!
Today is the birthday of my nephew Andrew Plumbridge. He is 58 years old. Haven't seen him in probably 15 years. Sad, he is estranged from the family. He was always sweet and cute. Drugs ruin lives!
Here he is with my bro-in-law Bill and sister Marion...

Sue,
I had to chuckle last night when dad was telling Daryl about the "kid" who was just promoted to assistant sheriff. Now I can see why. He is a young guy and handsome too!
Wow! Lots of birthdays today!
Gotta run and get ready as we are transporting the two rocking chairs out to Lawndale to the kids this morning.
Hugs! XO Trisha
