Good 32º SNOWING again morning!
It's all that DUMBASS Al Gore's fault... GLOBAL WARMING!
LOLOLOLOLOL~!
Today is going on the 4th day my friends (Jeannie & Bill, Donna &
Dan, and Jean) are without electric power! The latest estimate will be power on tomorrow! Jen's brother Jimmy will fly in tonight from So. Cal and Jean has no power, so they all may be camping at Brian and Jen's! Jeannie said hers came on for 5
minutes yesterday, the TV came on, the washer started up, and then it all
stopped again. Bill took off to find the power company guys, but they had gone.
Later he found another downed wire near his neighbor's. I guess the power guys
have been working steadily since Thursday. A crew has come down from Portland to
help out. What a mess. Think about it... no TV, no computer, no coffee..... UGH.
I had a call from Jim Harper (Wilson S'63) and he complained that "my"
storm was coming "his" way and to stop it! LOL, sure Jim. You live in Carson
City... you get snow all the time!! You're on the east side of Lake Tahoe on Hwy
395. Deal with it Jimmy boy. Fire up that snow blower!! Take pictures of your
little Rufus dog standing in snow higher than he is tall....... I'm
laughing..... it's that or cry, right?
Nobody is going over the summit today from or to California....
Took a few pictures yesterday. Mostly rain coming down then, but then
the snow started again in the night..
Maggie maintained her view from the porch...
.... while the Toms put on a snow show! Just for you Shelly!!
And here we are this morning...
Historically this date....

Started early with a snuggy fire about 3pm and watched a few Hallmark
Christmas movies. Love those! More Tivo'd for tonight. Have to make mouse

OMG I can just imagine how horrid it is without power! Edda went thru that for several days then Edison brought them generators! Having no computer would do me in! LOL No coffee no nuttin. We sure take electricity for granted in life. I could at least heat the place with the fireplace since it's gas. Also there's the BBQ for cooking. Fortunately I could light my gas cook top with a lighter and make stove top food and coffee.
John bought one of those little lights that you keep plugged in and when there's a power failure a light comes on from it. It was really cool the other night when my power went off for about 15 minutes. I didn't have to sit in the total darkness.
You would think Jeannie, Jen and the rest would be loaned a generator by the electric company!!
Lordy, Susan Lucci should be told that she looks anorexic or has Aids! She is a beauty but looks terrible because she's too thin!
Love your snow! Can't imagine driving in it but it sure is purdy!!
XOXO Trisha
With over 13,000 people without power, I doubt if the power company would have enough generators! Jeannie and Bill have one hooked up several hours during the day for the refrigerator.
Yep, "purdy" but messy! xo
I don't have fruitcake this year. Maybe I should make some Pfeffernuesse for any holes in the sidewalks?):- If it snowed and there was someone you wanted to hurt with a snowball- guess someone with one of those cookies could projectile one?
Gerry has wanted a generator for years. If we lived anywhere rural where it snowed, absolutely would get one.
I have to dash off and shop still! Ugh! At least I have power and water!!!
I love the turkeys in the snow! We need to re-write that song!! Turkey in the snow....
Mags looks so sweet. There's still snow at Bobo's Sami! love t and g
