Good 44º on the verge of big rain/wind storm... We got 1/2" out of this
last one...
today is particularly gloomy.... and
drizzling now...
while Maggie is out on the wind blown leafy porch on her Princess bed
enjoying the cool morning.
As for the "Gary Sinise" we saw at TJ's on Saturday.......
Close, but no cigar! He sure could play his look-alike! I got the following
comments re the picture yesterday of "Gary"....
Brian called IMMEDIATELY after I
published my blog and said, "NO WAY is that Gary Sinise!!!" lol
Ed said,
"GARY SINISE was at the opening of the new Trader Joe's? Are you sure it wasn't
a look a like."
Patty..."I
bet it was exciting to see Gary Sinise. He seems to be such a nice
person."
Hiouchi
Ann...."Oh my gosh, Gary Sinise. What a
patriot!!!"
Del said..."Gary
Senise? Didn't look like him but I take your word!! Hahaha"
Erika said,
" How exciting to run into Gary Sinise and his wife! As they say, sooner or
later all smart Californians move to Oregon. I've seen him on CSI & also on
an ad for his foundation to help Service men & first responders. Sounds like
a very civic minded man.
Joann said,
"Was that really Gary Sinise? How cool!
Why was he in Medford? On vacation?"
...... so, it wasn't the real Gary... but danged close!
Thanks, whoever you are, for letting me publish your photo!
As for football yesterday, sorry Brian, my Pats sure put a
hurt on your Colts (59-24). Luck is very good, but needs some help from the rest
of the team! Kristen and Olga's Jets did well over the Lambs (27-13). Bill's
Bills squeaked by the Dolphins (19-14). Packers inched by the Lions (24-20).
'Nawlans' womped the Raiders <g> (38-17). Peyton and his Broncos cut
up Cliff's Chargers (30-23). What a football day!
Phil & Suzanne's Bears play Jeannie's 49ers
tonight.

Dinner last night was the stuffed pumpkin...
First I started off with a "pickled green tomato martini" to watch the end
of the Pats/Colts game. OMGOOD!
Then to the pumpkin... the ingredients were one small pumpkin, garlic,
onion, cooked ground beef, mushrooms, spicy linguini noodles, and turkey gravy.
(If I had beef gravy I would have used that.)
Cut open the pumpkin top, take out seeds (rinse and separate seeds to roast
later)... Mix up stuffing ingredients and put inside pumpkin, put on top, fill
pan with a couple inches of water, bake at 300º for 3 hours, or until slight
pressure on the outside with a knife (lol, or chopstick) indicates it's
soft....
This is really really really good!!!!
Ok, all I know. Will see how Bruiser is doing today and hopefully bring him
home.
Nuff said. Happy Monday. Ciao.

This is a good quote in honor of Indira Gandhi
"Anger is never without an argument, but seldom with a good one."
Fingers crossed Bruiser comes home well today.
thanks L!
Good Morning!
I think whoever the guy is that let you take his picture has a very strong resemblance to the "real" Gary Sinise. Funny.
Maggie looks so happy on her princess bed. Nice and cozy.
Your stuffed pumpkin looked really good. I will be anxious to try that next year when it is pumpkin season again.
Good thoughts going your way re "The Bruise". I know your anxious to get him home. Chat later. xo
Jeannie
Go 9ers!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stuffed Pumpkin is awesome. You can use just about anything that flips your skirt... turkey, chicken, pork, beef.... or just veggies and pasta or rice or quinoa or orzo! A little of this and a little of that and something to make it moist. Voila!
Will let you know about 'The Bruise' on our daily chat. xo
Oh Sue, you are so funny! Boy did you fool me! Thought for sure that was Gary S!! Did you chat with the guy? Does that happen to him all the time? I'll bet it does.
Where in the world did you get the idea of cooking inside a pumpkin? Amazing!
Hugs and best wish for Bruiser! Can't wait to hear what his "tude" is like when you see him and bring him home :)
XO Trisha
When I saw the Gary look-alike I said, "You sure look like Gary Sinise!" He laughed and looked over at his wife, pointed to me, and said, "Another one". LOL. I guess he gets it all the time. The pumpkin bake was basically my friend Charlean's recipe, but I modified it. She just put meat in hers. Will get Bruiser in a few hours. Girl at the vets said he was meowing and hungry! xo
I had my rug cleaned today and couldn't get ont the computer all day! I'm late but I am here!!! Love t
