The Ark Is Ready ~ Spider Bite? ~ Brui$er

Good 42º raining yet morning. Yesterday we had nearly 3" and today, after raining all night, it's almost 4". Sheesh. At the coast PattyK said they've had over 5" and there is flooding everywhere.

Sunset last night was nice....

Have been feeling as if I am getting a cold. 'Tuffy dose', sneezing, blowing, etc.... so this hit home...
LOL. Maybe I'll give it a try!

So.................. as I said yesterday that Biden was a foul mouthed ass.... he says "f**k" on live TV!"Oops!...I Did It Again" (Britney Spears)

As President Barack Obama prepared to announce the passage of his landmark health care legislation, Vice President Joe Biden had a memorable slip of the tongue, dropping an F-bomb on live television. "This is a big f*ck*ng deal," he said. (SAUL LOEB/AFP)

Here's a quote I got from Sally Harwell and also Rich Steinhurst....
Luke "The Drifter" says:
"We Americans go so tired of being thought of as dumbasses by the rest of the world that we went to the polls this November and removed any doubt."

Historically this date....
1877Thomas Edison announces his invention of the phonograph, a machine that can record and play sound.
1980 – A deadly fire breaks out at the MGM Grand Hotel in Paradise, Nevada (now Bally's Las Vegas). 87 people are killed and more than 650 are injured in the worst disaster in Nevada history.
And births this date include....
1861Tom Horn, American lawman and convicted murderer (d. 1903)

..... here is the hat Steve McQueen wore in the movie Tom Horn... with his signature inside.... Jerry added the band and I added the feather! The 'sweat' is painted on.

1934Laurence Luckinbill, American actor
.....omg, he's been married to Luci Arnaz since 1980!

1937 – Marlo Thomas, American actress

1945Goldie Hawn, American actress

1966Troy Aikman, American football player

Yesterday I putzed around, nothing in particular.... Christmas projects and making cards.

Today, first after my shower is a trip to the ER. I felt a prick on my index finger, left hand, when I was putting a log into the wood stove Monday night. Thought it was a wood sliver. Put neosporin on it right away. Seemed ok. Then yesterday it started itching. I put mercurochrome on it and more neosporin. Today it is very swollen.

(UGH, what ugly old hands!)
We'll see what the doc has to say.

Brui$er is doing well. He LOVES his meals. Using his litter box. And seems fine in the cage. I picked him up a couple of times, scratched his neck and tried to get the eye drops in the one eye. Not easy with only two hands! I need three! Maggie, I think, feels sorry for him and lays next to the cage.
All I know. Will keep you posted on the cat and the finger! My movie from Amazon didn't show up yesterday, Darling Companion with Diane Keaton, so I watched The Family Stone last night. Also with Diane Keaton...
Interesting, intense at times, sad, happy, all of it. Mostly weird. Sarah Jessica Parker played a terminal uptight beeeotch!
Nuff said. Ciao.

November 21st
Gingerbread Day
Well..... I don't know. Some sites say it's June 5th and some say today.... celebrate if you want to. I'm going with June and thinking some folks just needed a day today for something.
On the "Bizarre Holidays" list it is World Hello Day. Whatever....

Sue,

I love the old guy, Luke, at the bar! Soooo true! Removed all doubt!

OMG girl, glad you are going to the doc to see about that finger. At first I thought you might have been bitten by a black widow but then I think you would have seen it. Lt us know what the doc says.

Happy Bruiser is happy. How long do you need to keep him in the cage? He is so pretty. Makes me wonder if he ever belonged to somebody.

Hugs!
XO Trisha

A NyQuil Margarita might not solve your problems, but bet it could make you not care what they are):-

Good luck on the finger- and the rain. Oh my.

@ T, didn't see anything when I picked up the log to put in the wood stove. Could have been a BW I guess. Brui$er will stay in the cage until all his eye meds are given. He seems content.

@L, thanks. Will keep you guys posted. xo

Sue, finger looks nasty, hope it isn't something that can't be fixed quickly. Hope the cold thing goes away quickly too.
Bruiser does look quite content in the cage. A little R&R for that rascal will be a good thing.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

Wow- action packed blog! Tom Horn's hat. Your poor BIG finger! (I hope you are okay).

I liked Family Stone when SJP finally cut loose- lol. I thought it was funny. Never really cared for her until that scene.

And Off the wall- I want Lucie Arnez' hair!! Love you- keep us posted on the finget!
