Good 38º morning. Hope it stays as nice today as it was yesterday. Last
year at this time we had lots of rain and I even put a fire in the wood stove.
At least I didn't have to turn on the AC yesterday! First time in a long
while!
Today is 10-4 ... meaning "ok" or "acknowledged".
Jen dropped Atlas, granddog, yesterday afternoon.
He will stay until Monday while Brian and Jen, Tucker and
Sami, and Jen's mom Jean go to ...
They will meet up with Kristen, Alex, and Jack on Saturday.
As of this moment they are in the air having just left Medford Airport en
route to LAX. Atlas has met Bruiser and opposite of what Maggie does, shy away
from him, Atlas was nosey... scared Bruiser! Funny. While Atlas is here, Harley
stays upstairs!
Historically this date...

Dinner was reruns of the vegetable casserole, which is sooooo good. Will
have to make that again soon. Next time maybe adding artichoke hearts and green
beans....
I received my case of wine from Naked Wines, in Napa. I had a special
coupon. I paid $59 for a case of mixed wines that normally sell for $160. Such a
deal. Will be having fun with those. Since the back is still south, I had to
open the box and carry them in 3 at a time! Groan....
How about trying this recipe....
Slow Cooker Apple Crisp
5 medium tart apples
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 t. ground cinnamon
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 box Betty Crocker yellow cake mix
Spray a 2-3 1/2 qt. slow cooker with cooking spray
In a large bowl toss apples, sugars, and cinnamon.
Add to slow cooker.
In medium bowl mix melted butter and dry cake mix and sprinkle on top of
apples.
Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours or until apples are soft. Remove cover
last 30 minutes of cooking.
Or try this Pillsbury recipe with quick cooking oats, pecans, toffee
bits...... This one cooks on low for 4-6 hours.
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Thursday. Ciao.
