Good 57º rainy sort of morning. Started last night. Got less than 1/4" this
time....
Yesterday afternoon the clouds lifted and looked ominous.
I got busy and steam cleaned the kitchen floor. Of course, that helped
bring on the rain. Nothing like a clean white floor with muddy pup
prints!!
Still a little drizzly... but slow....
.. and the clouds are hanging low...
Back to radio codes.... 10-15 means "prisoner in custody". Typically used
like "52 Tom 2 10-15 with 1" ...or something like that. Meaning the Temple City
traffic unit, 2T2, is bringing someone to jail! Or..... "58 10-15 with 2"
meaning the Duarte unit is bringing 2 to jail!
AND, if you old fart retirees think I am
giving away privy information, you can Google and get LASD's radio codes. Also,
the LAPD Department Manual Line Procedures and Communications is published on
line. No secret. The guy at the car dealership where I get my ride worked on
told me he knew what my license plate IM417 means, because he looked it up on
line! LOL
This is a good video about a woman having a "little" heart attack. Came
from my friend Cyndi Moreno.... Ladies, watch this! Men, take heed and show it
to your woman after you watch it!
I made that Bacon/Spaghetti casserole that was on yesterday's blog. Didn't
have all the ingredients so cheated and used bottled Alfredo sauce (which by the
way is great!) and canned peas. The bacon was Costco's cooked/crumbled. Such an
easy dish! And REALLY GOOD!!!!! Also, I cut it in half and used a 9x9 dish, 1
jar Alfredo sauce, 1/2# spaghetti angel hair, 1 can peas drained, 3/4 cup
crumbled bacon, 1 egg.
I Tivo'd Chicago Fire, a new TV show, and just can't get interested in it. I guess maybe firefighters will be more interested. I did
find one I like, it's called Alaska State Troopers and is on the National
Geographic channel....
"Follow one of the toughest law enforcement agencies in the nation,
patrolling alone on unforgiving terrains. Responding by land, air, and sea—with
backup sometimes days away—these troopers patrol hundreds of miles of rugged
terrain in bone-chilling temperatures to protect the people and wildlife of
Alaska. Whether it’s overturned snow machines in 22-degree weather, violent
chainsaw crimes, volatile fishermen zigzagging down waterways, thieves stealing
essential village items, moose-hunting checks, gunman confrontations in the
wilderness, or intoxicated gold miners blocking roads—being prepared for
anything is just part of the job."
The conditions they have to work in are unbelievable. Glad it's them and not me!!! Good show. Different kind of police work in many instances.
