Good 41º morning.
Yesterday Maggie and I took a run to town to mail some cards... On the way
the ambulance was at the grammar school. Wondering......
Came home and I made the Black Bean Salsa to take to PJ and Dave's for Big
D's birthday party. (His birthday is actually today...HAPPY BIRTHDAY
DAVE!)
Salsa ingredients:
Drain and rinse 2 cans black beans, drain 1 can Rotel Diced Tomatoes &
Chiles, 1 can Rotel Diced Tomatoes with Lime and Cilantro, drain 1 can whole
corn, dice 1/2 small red onion, squeeze juice from 1 lime. Mix.
This is great with Scoops and/or on tacos. Speaking of tacos... PJ's tacos
were great. Beef and chicken. Soft or hard shells. Pam made mini orange cupcakes
(OMGOOD) and Tom made Dave's 'birthday apple pie'. (Another OMGOOD!)
Debbie tried and tried to get into the hammock... with no luck. Tom looked
on...
Good par-tay kids!

My parents got their first color television in 1975. I remember it clearly because that was when we got married- and giving us the old black and white was their excuse to go modern.
Sue,
I am cracking up at Debbie on that hammock! What a HOOT! Didn't her hubby eventually help her get in it?
You all sure have some fun parties and great eats! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVE!! Love the birthday pie! :)
That train crash in Chatsworth, my friend's former husband was the engineer of the Union Pacific freight train. He was hosptalized but survived. Their daughter called her mom to tell her the news so they rushed to his bedside. I am sure he got well compensated. It's scary especially thinking of my Eric being a conductor on Metrolink right now so hope no engineer is texting anymore!!

Yes, it was funny in a silly way. Debbie cracks us all up. Dave and Tim helped her get in, but it was short lived! xo
