Good 40º clear sunny morning.
Alex was here yesterday and reduced the pile of logs to nothing... split
and stacked all the wood....
Good job Alex! 2 hours! Wow.
Kristen is so loved by her students.. she is the office manager at
Coolidge Grammar School, in N. San Gabriel .. so during 'Teacher Appreciation Week" her little pals
filled her desk with love...
Here is a 'coming home' video of a Marine father watching his 6 year old
son walk for the first time. The boy has cerebral palsy .... (sent by Ron
Wisberger, who also apparently, put a dent in his Kleenex box too!)
Now you would have needed a Kleenex or two for that, but the next one will
make you smile.....
Here is a video of the "laziest cat fight ever"... Cute! Short.
Special people I know celebrating today... my buddy Dee Yellin
is having a birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRLFRIEND!
Former Temple City neighbor (she grew up across the street and was friends
with Kristen) Laura (Vincent) and her husband Conrad Virant are celebrating
their 22nd Anniversary. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY KIDS!

The Quote of the Decade:
“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America 's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America 's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that, "the buck stops here.' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.”
~ Senator Barack H. Obama, March 2006

Last night was the Marine Corps League monthly dinner/meeting at the VFW.
We had PRIME RIB! Mmmmm mmmm good! I had two, count them, two dirty martinis! (Thanks Loren for one of them!!!) Ahhhhhhh.... what a treat to sit and relax after working hard yesterday AND have someone cook a marvalous dinner and clean up! Heaven. Always nice to see everyone.
My friend Adria Barton and I sat and gabbed a bunch! Brought home leftovers for
Maggie!
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Saturday. Ciao.

Good morning.
I have my tear ducts washed out now but that was a beautiful e-mail of the father returning home. The cat fight was darling also, it did make me laugh.
The wood pile looks as good.
Glad the dinner was good. I remember the last Prime rib we all went to. It was cold by the time we got to eat.
Love you, Patty
Kristen's desk was beautiful.
Nice, Love the Obama.
I really could go for some of that fudge too. While you are at it, I'll even take your leftover prime rib.. hee hee. Your comment never posted on my blog for some reason :((((
