Good 32º morning. Ice all over the barn roof and
between the rows of grass in the pastures. The vineyard up the road had their
giant propellers going last night into this morning. Noisy!
Virus traced to reusable grocery bag. Bottom
line... wash the bag after coming back from the store with sanitizer wipes or
wash in the washing machine!
Here is a video of Rita Hayworth. Amazing old
dancing shots but more amazing is the editing someone did. Thanks for this
Debbie Flores! The background music is the Bee Gees singing Stayin' Alive.
Awesome!
and .... I think I either posted this before on
my blog or sent it around...anyway, nostalgia at Bob's Big Boy in
Burbank..
My friend Pat Tracy sent this and I enjoyed
watching it over again......

Coming back
down the hill into our valley....
And, back home......
Watching Dr. Oz and he was giving suggestions for overly salty or sweet snack high calorie replacements.... this one sounded interesting... a tasty
little snack, one that's actually good for you...
Drain a can of garbanzo beans (chickpeas), heat a tablespoon of olive oil
and add the garbanzo beans and sauté until they pop..... Takes about 20 minutes.
Then I put them on a paper towel and sprinkled on garlic powder on some of them,
Bob's Seasoning Salt on some, and Bacon Salt on some. Really tasty!
(sorry...pictures are lousy, was using my fish eye lens...) You can use any seasoning you like... experiment!
All I
know. Nuff said. Happy Thursday. Ciao.

So much I would like to comment on, will have to do it later when I get more time. Had to make a comment about clean up your room day, I really should be home doing that instead of jury duty! My kind of day! Have a good one. Thanks for the early blog.

xo you too! Hope the trial gets over soon since it's so boring.
Going to try the popped chickpeas soon. I always make mine fresh- such a difference just a little planning makes.
When I first went to Calif. I could not find a job. It's a long story but I went to work washing dishes at Bob's. Fortunately it did not last long but it was fun.

I can imagine how boring that had to be.... as your piloting job with LASD was much more fun!!! xo
Sue, thanks for the tip on popped garbanzos. Will be trying them soon...pics were great. I like garbanzos in green salads, my Cowboy Beans for BBQ season, BUT for some reason don't care for Humus, weird, huh? Am enjoying the pics of your Spring clean-up after winter. Lotsa property, lotsa chores
