Good 39º clear morning.
It started out cool yesterday (37º with ice on the barn roof again) but
warmed to 72º . Perfect! Today is supposedly going to hit 80º.
With the full moon on Saturday night it was too dark out and the moon was
too bright for me to get a good picture. Since I live between two mountains, the
sun/moon come up behind one and go down behind the other. By the time the moon
is up it's been up for a couple of hours and the best shots are at the horizon.
That said, here are some pictures I got this morning before it got away...
Yesterday Jason came over and did some more weed eating. I sprayed a tank
full of Roundup (24 gal) on the road, but hardly covered much. Ran out of
Roundup so will have to make a trip to town.... I also have blackberry bushes to
spray. Those things are hateful! Nasty thorns on the branches. They grow wild
everywhere up here...
... and I mowed for a couple of hours. Frank & Cindy, Jason's folks,
rode their quads up here. They have a Jack Russell named Lucy and she jumps up
onto the seat and LOVES to ride! She is darling! Didn't have my camera out with
me on the lawnmower! Darn.
Here is an amazing video from my friend Judy Duvalle...
this is all in close up and slow mo... Bats Bees and Butterflies... If you
haven't seen this before you will be transfixed like I was.....

My geese came for a visit yesterday......
They had a 'snack' and then sat in the cool grass in the shade until
sunset.
Dinner was nothing to shout about. Refrigerator biscuits cut in half, set
into a "Pam-d" muffin pan, added the leftover broccoli/carrot/sausage, and
topped with the other half of the biscuit. 350º 15 minutes. Harley was begging
so he got some of the muffin part and loved it! Weirdo cat.
.... And I feel badly I missed putting up Gator's birthday yesterday. Sorry
Gator, hope it was a good one!
