Good 47º sunny need to mow morning! It is supposed to get into the high
80º's today and in the low 90º's tomorrow. Break out the shorts!
Yesterday I saw a couple of little quail
down on the road as I went out to town. I just love watching them. For a
couple of years a male would sit in my garden and make his calling sounds.
Finally the female showed up and they nested under there. Never saw the
babies.... :o(
On this site if you scroll down to the "Assembly call", that is the sound
he'd make..
And for those of you living in No. California and Oregon here is a site
that tells you how to encourage quail to stay on your property...
Another trip to Medford yesterday. Stopped in Costco and sadly no Asian
Chicken Wraps, still the chili lime shrimp wraps.
Not THAT bad, but not THAT good. I got one because I was STARVING! Then while I was eating it in the parking lot.... ( ! ) I decided it was GOOD! Some left for breakfast this morning!
Also purchased a new camera. This one is a Nikon Coolpix S6300.
It is compact, light weight, 10x zoom, 16 megapixels ... it's
awesome! And it won't kill my back on my every day excursions carrying my
monster Canon with the 40 pound lens! Battery charged all yesterday afternoon so
here are the first pictures taken... not bad...
It's not as fast as my Canon, as with the birds because they are a little
fuzzy, but otherwise it's pretty good and it weighs as much as a hummingbird!
OMG, this is hilarious.... I had no idea doves were tamed... and this cat
is certainly patient! I just love the cooing of a dove, but it will have a
different meaning now....
