Yam Mushroom Bake ~ Strawberries & Chocolate ~ How Easter Eggs Are Made ~ No Housework Day

Good 34º somewhat sunny cloudy morning. Supposed to stay cloudy today and tomorrow with a "chance" of rain. Well, tomorrow is a full moon......

Yesterday was haircut day. Got it very short! Yeah. Had a late appointment. Had a good chat with Leah.

Last year on this date it snowed....

Kristen called night before last and told me about this app she got for her iphone... it's a police scanner! It was free, and picking up L-tac and dispatch for Paramount and Lakewood and Pico stations. OMG. She called me on her house phone so I could hear it. Weird. Felt like I was sitting in a radio car or at the desk! Wonder if SIB knows about that! (that would be Sheriff's Information Bureau)

I know I'm going to get a bunch of turned up noses, "ewwwwww"s, and Spam comments.... but here goes. This experimental dinner was, as my Mom would say, "different, honey".

I reconstituted a bunch of dried mushrooms, garlic, and onion. Microwaved the yams for 10 minutes, peeled and cooled and then mashed. I cut the artichoke hearts, diced tomatoes, and chopped up the spam. Drained the mushrooms, garlic, and onion and mixed it all together and heated in the oven until hot.

I have to say, it really was GOOD! I like the smoked and turkey Spam the best.

Dessert was fresh strawberries and some of the new Philly Cream Cheese Chocolate Indulgence.... Oh my........ YUM!
