Tabasco Spicy Mayo ~ Alex & Jack ~ Mower Down ~ Thunder/Lightening/Rain/Hail ~ Pigs In A Blanket

Good cloudy 51º morning. Pressure going up. Some rain may fall....

When I was at Food 4 Less last week I picked up a jar of Tabasco Spicy Mayonnaise. OMG. It is SPICY!!

I spread it on a couple of rice cakes, fried a couple eggs, broke yoke and fried them hard, and then topped the rice cake with the egg. I know................ it sounds weird..... but it was GOOD!

If you can't find Tabasco Mayo near you, then you can purchase it from www.tabasco.com It's $2.75 for a 16oz jar. This site also has many many awesome recipes that will leave your mouth drooling .... dips, bruschetta, Mexican caviar, spicy popcorn, bloody mary, chile pie ... to name a few!

My grandchildren, Alex and Jack are doing wonderfully well at sports... Alex is on the track team, like her mom was, and can pole vault and run hurdles....

Alex on the right... tall ... long legs!!! Like mom! Her buddy Ally on the left.

And Jack is playing basketball.... and getting taller by the minute too!

Ok, now for your morning smile... giggle.... or just a happy face....

So, let me tell you about yesterday... Tree trimming guys, Ken and Cody, were back to finish up. I had to mow, but couldn't get the gas cap off the mower to check the gasoline level. Since Ken and Cody were here I asked if one of them could get the cap loose since it was soooooo tight (thanks Dave) and these old arthritic hands couldn't open it! Cody loosened it with a finger twist!~ Ken laughed, said he does the same thing to his wife (unintentionally), tightens caps so tight she can't get them off either! Anyway, then I was off mowing for a couple of hours. All of a sudden the mower stopped.... had to be something wrapped around the blades. Dave was busy and couldn't look at it so I rigged up some 2x6's and got down on ground to take a look...
Found fence wire wound around the blade. Managed to get some of it off, but hard to cut it. Went down to neighbor Frank's and he put a car jack under it, I still couldn't get the wire cut, so Frank did it for me. (Such a girl!) Thanks Frank. Then off to mow some more. The sky was looking ominous on the way back home...
I managed to finish mowing the section I was working on, all that you can see.....
put the mower away, came up on the porch and the rain came down!! RAIN, LIGHTENING, THUNDERBOOMERS, HAIL ..... OMG. 1/4" of rain in 30 minutes!

The wind blew all directions.... all the windows of the house were soaked... then......... suddenly like magic, the sun came out!

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Tuesday. Ciao.

April 24th
National Pigs In A Blanket Day

5 cheese-flavored hot dogs
7 1/2 ounces refrigerated buttermilk biscuits (10 count)
Cut the hot dogs in half. Flatten a biscuit and place half a cheese slice in the middle. The cheese should fit perfectly in the biscuit without hanging over the sides. Place a hot dog in the middle and wrap it up, like it's in a blanket. Placed on greased cooking sheet ('Pam' it!) seam side down so it doesn't come apart. Bake as directed on the biscuit package.

OMG Girl! You are not "such a girl". Look how you rigged those boards so you could see under that mower! Were you able to drive it to your neighbors so he could cut the wire off? Good job and your lawn looks amazing! Of course you know with all that downpour rain it will be back up in no time! lol
You do so much around that that no mere "girl" could do!

Tell me, where did Alex and Jack get their height? Oh, yes, from their mom but where did hers come from? Was her dad very tall?
They seem like great well-rounded kids.

Hot dogs look yummy!!

p.s. I can barely look at that B word BS!! YUK!

Thanks T, but you know how much we rely on our men, and when you don't have one you HAVE to learn stuff. My Dad was somewhat of a help teaching me things boys should know.... but I always relied on Jerry to do stuff and fix everything! Sigh.....
I am the shortest one in the family ... a sister that is 5'11" and her girls 6' and son 6'7"... both parents were 'average' so don't have a clue. And yes, Alex and Jack are doing GREAT! xo
