Good 27º foggy icy morning. Happy Sunday!
Yesterday my friend Trish's son, Daryl, ended up in the hospital. Doc said he had "ACUTE Pharyngitis (sore throat) with extreme dehydration & infected tonsils". He's a limo driver and had to work a 12 hour day and was off at 2am. His dad met him after work and took him straight to the hospital. He's responding and should be home today. What a deal for Daryl as well as mom and dad! Glad he's on the mend T!!
Yesterday was another one of those "I can hardly stand the excitement" days..... Post office to mail cards and the market. I bought items to make a vegetable/white sauce lasagna, but was not in the mood to cook. Today. Dinner was grilled cheese on the waffle iron. Spray I Can't Believe It's Not Butter on the bread, spread one side with Philly chive onion cream cheese, add several slices of American Cheese, 2 slices of bacon, top with other bread slice and put on waffle iron for 2-3 minutes. I buy the ready cooked bacon for stuff like this... fast and easy! Yummmmmo.
I watched a couple of movies last night... a Hallmark presentation with Gary Sinise (love him!)
in "Fallen Angel", made in 2003. And then I watched a goofy teen movie "Easy A" made in 2010 with Emma Stone
The movie had it's moments. Some good, some bad. I really like Emma Stone. Very pretty, articulate, and carried the part really well. It was more like comic relief. Not too heavy you have to think about it and not emotional.

And here's your 'awwwwww....' for the day.... Thank you Ben Hunt for this:
(Hey Nancy and Dave... is that Skeeter????)
Historically this date....

1932 – The Chicago Bears defeat the Portsmouth Spartans 9-0 in the first ever NFL Championship Game. Because of a blizzard, the game is moved from Wrigley Field to the Chicago Stadium, the field measuring 80 yards (73 m) long.

Died of lung cancer at 56!
He's just gross!
..... the next three gag me........
Or, maybe it's not Brad but Angelina that gags me!
Can't even remember the words to our National Anthem!!! What a self-loving entitled Hollyweirdo.

Thank you Sue for the kind words for Daryl and mom and dad too. Yes, it's an emotional time when one of our children is suffering so much, no matter their age. Hopefully he can get those tonsils yanked early in the new year. UG!
Hopefully they will release him today but don't know yet. I was blown away by all the friends who posted their kind wishes on my FB page.
Hope you are getting better every day too. Poor John still has chest congestion and mentiond he got up in the night to take meds. Darnit! He said he should have had the ER doc check him out along with Daryl! He didn't even think of that because of his concern for his son.
Have a good day!
Hugs, Trisha
I'm so glad Daryl is better. Does John use Musinex? Works!I'm feeling human again. Thanks. xo
