Good 45º morning. Some really cold nights on the horizon, down to the teens soon. Better bring in that brass monkey!
(Brass monkey - colloquial expression, meaning something solid and inert that can only be affected by extremes, or meaning an extreme of cold)
Yesterday Birdhouse Gary came over with his lawn tractor and 'sucked' up a truck load of leaves to mulch his garden with...
First picture is after Jason blew the leaves off the road on the 21st and then yesterday...
He's happy with the leaves and I'm happy they are gone!

Here is an amazing video. Watch to the end... our world has not been explored yet! So much still undiscovered. Fascinating. Thanks Judy for this!!!
and ..... if that wasn't enough... you MUST see the babies in this video. It puts a big smile on your face!
Kristen is recovering nicely from her foot surgery. She's still wearing the "boot" but had bandages changed yesterday and got a note from the doc so she can go back to work today. She sent me this picture of what she calls her "Easter colors foot"....
Poor baby. At least after all this recovery is over she will be able to run again! YEAH! (I have told you that she still holds the school record at her high school - Arroyo - for the 200 yard dash! My running girl!)

His son Mike was a friend of ours. He and Jerry and I would go to dinner often. He died in 1994 in a helicopter crash, something his dad has never gotten over. Mike was a great kid! He was 33 at the time of his death.
1955 – Howie Mandel, Canadian comedian
He could lose the chin hair thing!
I cooked 'Alexander', my turkey, yesterday. About an hour or so before it was done our power went off. I called the power company and they said 1600 of us were without electricity. Great. Poured a wine and waited... Luckily it was only off 30 or so minutes. Turkey was good as well as the stuffing with lots of butter/onions/celery/mushrooms/water chestnuts and yummmmmo gravy.... and the luscious cranberry relish Jeannie made....
Ahhhhh..... Now we have leftovers for sandwiches and I'll make turkey soup today!
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Tuesday. Ciao

you turkey looked so good...looks like you enjoy the dark meat - so do I!! Glad the electric came back on, would of been a pain in the butt if it would of stayed off. Your poor daughter, wow - bet that slowed her down the last couple of weeks, bet she is glad it is getting better and will be able to again enjoy running. Looks like you have some dead trees in your front yard, some pretty darn huge!! Hope Maggie & Harley are doing good, bet they love the smells of Alexander???
XO NancyS
Yes, I do love the dark meat. Gave some to Maggie and Harley and they were happy happy. The trees are not dead, just oaks that have dropped all their leaves. They will be back all green and leafy in the spring. xo
mmmmmI never get tired of seeing a beautiful roasted turkey. You put yours on the same rack I use. However, I wrap the bird in heavy foil and put it on the BBQ. How scary to have your power go off part way thru the cooking! Once our propane on the BBQ ran out part way thru cooking and had to put it in the oven. Once the top oven went out on Thanksgiving. How ironic is that out of all the days in the year!
Hugs, Trisha
p.s. Eric and I are watching the sentencing right now of Doctor Murray! The one who killed M. Jackson!!
Warm wishes to your daughter for a speedy recovery from foot surgery.
I remember when the Skully kid died. There is nothing fair about loosing a child.
