Good 58º morning. Cloudy.
Wind blew in the night, HARD! Knocked over a couple of my plants on the porch. Radar shows rain south of here and may move towards us. Don't know...
Yesterday afternoon (2pm) and early evening (6:30) .... It got quite windy in the afternoon with temps at 88º...
Whatever they gave me at the ER really worked! Although the pain pill that worked so well on Friday night didn't work so well yesterday. The pain stopped but the meds are narcotic (made from opium poppy) and made me sick. So, they are gone.... Back to the stuff on hand (Arnica Montana .. wolfs bane... and Ibuprofen)
Pretty much stayed in my chair all day with an ice pack on the back. Know that helped a lot.
I watched Bridesmaids. Didn't know many of the cast, only Jill Clayburgh (who looked awful and the language she used!) and Melissa McCarthy (Molly from Mike & Molly)who played a total idiot, loud, rude, and crude!
(That's Melissa on the far left. She dressed like a man and had just finished belching loudly and couldn't decide if it was a burp or a fart. Charming.)
Of all the movies I have seen in a long time this was about the most classless. There was constant vulgar language, children using the F word to adults, adults constantly using the F word, vomiting in public, defecating in public!, stupid stupid characters, and a state trooper drinking in uniform in a public bar and then sitting on the hood of his radio car eating with his gf. The only reason I watched it was because I paid $4.99 to Pay Per View! I would not recommend this film to my enemies! Well, maybe to them. If you liked the movie Hangover (which I only saw trailers) and you are in your teens and 20's you will probably like this trash. I can see why it was stupid, as the main character in the film was the author! God, I hope a good movie comes along soon.
My pal Jeannie wanted Sue's Mexican Meatloaf Recipe, so I thought I'd share it with everyone....
2# ground beef 1# sweet Italian sausage or chorizo
1 pkg Fritos 1 Anaheim chili
1 red bell pepper 1 onion
1 T ground cumin salt & pepper
3 eggs 16 oz. jar Pace Thick & Chunky Salsa
10 oz. can Las Palmas
Red Chili Sauce
1 bunch cilantro
1 t garlic powder
Preheat oven to 375º. In bowl mix beef and sausage (casings removed) well (or use mixer on med speed) In food processor pulse Fritos until you have 2 cups of crumbs. Pulse onion until minced. Remove seeds and veins from both peppers and dice small. Keep cilantro in bunch banded together and wash. Then chop into medium mince. Lightly beat eggs. Add all ingredients to meat mixture except Red Chili Sauce. Mix all ingredients well with hands. Put half the mixture in the loaf pan and shape. Pour 1/3 of the Red Chili Sauce over the top. Reduce heat to 350º and bake loaf for 1 hour. Pour another 1/3 of the sauce over the top of the loaf and bake another 30 minutes. Remove from oven, let stand 5-10 minutes. Serve with the remaining chili sauce on the side and serve with hot tortillas and a green salad. With the other half of the mixture, line a loaf pan with heavy foil, add the mixture. Wrap tight and freeze. When frozen take it out of the pan and leave it in the freezer without the pan. You can just plop it into a loaf pan when you are ready to cook it.

Great meatloaf variation.
I remember the milk commercials Heather Locklear did in her pre-mug shot days. My husband would stop whatever he was doing to watch them.
