Good 57º morning.
Yesterday, another high on the list of over the top exciting days... LOL... My Qwest guy, Bob, called at 7:55am. He was on his way over. Super nice guy. Former Californian. Been here over 25 years. Anyway, he gave me a new wazoo modem with a better beefed-up wifi connection... and it works great!!! My little laptop is right on the money. Now in the evening I can check emails or make notes or whatever from the comfort of my Lazyboy chair! Thanks Bob! And thanks to the other "computer" guy in my life, Turk. Thanks for fixing my computers!!!! Yeah, I'm a happy camper when everything electronic in my life works!
The finches were out yesterday morning...
as well as Mr. Frog on the water faucet...
Then... Maggs and I went to PJ's: cats out, litter boxes cleaned, food replenished in dishes, water, trash cans in. Whoop. Then I went to town. Ace for bug bombs for the barn.
PO to mail cards.
Rays for zucchini and the makin's for the salad.
(No, it wasn't raining, I just didn't take a picture and this one was on line!) Home. Then I made the salad....
Patty's Zucchini Salad
1/2 small onion, chopped
3 stalks celery, chopped
1 green and 1 red bell pepper, chopped
5-6 small zucchini shredded (or 3 large)
The dressing:
Mix 1/3 cup salad oil
2/3 cup cider vinegar
3/4 cup sugar
1/8 cup wine vinegar (I used white Balsamic .. Trader Joe's!)
1/2 t. salt (I added more. It needed it.)
1/2 t. pepper (I used 1 t. + Sonoma pepper)
I put the salad in a zip bag and poured in the well mixed dressing.
Refrigerated until I got home from the airport to eat.
Very very tasty and good. I added some cut up chicken and that was dinner.
Ok, now the only thing I didn't like about the salad was the 3/4 cups sugar in the dressing. Believe me, you will like this salad, crunchy and wonderful, but the sugar amount bothers me. I'm doing research on how to make it as good but without that much sugar. Will keep you posted.
Back to PJ's to put the cats in the shaded "Catty Shack" ...
And when we pulled up "momma" and her two baby deer ran into the neighbors pasture..
Left for the airport to pick up PJ. They have this "cell phone lane" just inside the airport where you park if you are not going into the lot or don't want to circle (they won't let you idle in front of the terminal).
I parked there and waited for PJ's call and then drove to the terminal and picked her up. Piece of cake. Easy.
Historically this date...
1939 – Albert Einstein and Leó Szilárd write a letter to Franklin D. Roosevelt, urging him to begin the Manhattan project to develop a nuclear weapon.
And births this date include....
(Dang!)... and my friend Erika's hubby, Spencer is celebrating. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SPENCE!!
Last night was dinner and one of my fav TV shows... Chaos ... Friday night on CBS ... starring Eric Close (Yummmm) and James Murray (Double yummmmm) and they are specialized CIA Agents. So fun. Not all the drama, lots of comic relief. Trouble is they filmed 10 episodes and now CBS has pulled the show. DARN! Come on CBS!!!!
All I know. Happy Tuesday. Nuff said. Ciao.

Sue,
When we go to pick up one of the boys from LAX we park at Carl Jr on the street going into to the airport. Carl's is nice to have a huge parking lot for that purpose. Of course we always go in and buy something while waiting for our cell to ring. Yes, it is so easy that way. At Ontario Airport we just park and go inside as it's easy there.
Where was PJ coming from? I must have missed something.
XO Trisha
Hi T. PJ was in Spokane for the weekend. That's why I was sitting Neko and Rio.
