Good 45º clear sunny morning. Cooler yesterday, topping at
87º.
I am still wondering if I should use my powers for good or evil....

Ok, as I said before I am not a big fan of Paula Deen, but this recipe of hers I got in 2003 and have made it a lot and it's GREAT!
Corn Casserole
1 - 15¼ oz can whole kernel corn, drained
1 - 14¾ oz can cream-style corn
1 - 8 oz pkg corn muffin mix (Jiffy)
1 cup sour cream
1 stick butter - melted
1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
Preheat oven to 350º
In large bowl mix all ingredients except cheese. Pour into casserole dish sprayed with cooking spray or greased with butter. Bake 45 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from oven and top with cheese. Return to oven for 5-10 minutes, until cheese is melted. Let stand 5 minutes and serve warm.

So.... yesterday I was going out to move a hose from one bush to a tree and this Prince of the Forrest was out laying under the trampoline. I took one picture from the porch and then snuck out the back door to get a a better shot. He saw me!
I came back into the house and he booked out of there. Then I opened the gate and Maggie flew down to the tractor shed where she chases ground squirrels. Dang, if there weren't 3 deer in there in the shade. She scared the beejebbies out of two of them...
This little girl wasn't paying any attention to me, she was looking for Maggie!
Then we went to get mail, take trash to the can by the road, and stopped in at PJ and Dave's. He was working on the breaks on his 5th wheel....
and Maggie was sniffing around in his shop. PJ and I sat on the back porch and had a glass of wine. Nice out, breezy, and only about 83º. Left and the clouds were forming.. first one is a baby dragon and the second one is "mama" behind her...
The moon was out too .........

Sue, YAAAA I knew that cornbread casserole sounded familiar. I just checked my recipe notebook and there it is already in there. I'm so glad because when I printed out those great recipes that Gator sent on the Kraft site I had a terrible time. The dessert and breads are in the back of the notebook and when I opened it to insert the plastic sheets many came pouring out! I had to put them back one at a time.:( It's a big notebook and packed to the hilt!
Sunday before last Paula Deen and her hubby were on Extreme Home Makeover. She helped big time and is really the sweetest and most caring lady. She made a big personal donation too.
Kudos to Kevin Bacon and wife! That's sure something you don't see often in Hollyweird!
Have a good day!
