42 Years Ago ~ Randy Honeycutt ~ Right Foot Smart? ~ HSUS Rescue ~ Peyton Manning ~ Tom Brady ~ Peanut Brittle

Good 43º foggy morning. We did get some sun yesterday...late, about 1:30. Got it earlier other places. Today is supposed to remain cloudy and rain coming for Thursday again.

Breakfast yesterday... instant cinnamon oatmeal microwaved with buttermilk. Banana and oatmeal drizzled with honey. Mmmmmmmmmmm!!!!

One of Jerry's good friends, Randy Honeycutt passed away yesterday morning. He and Jerry were radio car partners at Temple. Thought the world of each other. I had just communicated with him via email a week or so ago. He had throat cancer. He sounded positive. He said some nice things about my Jerry. RIP Randy. You will be sorely missed by your family and friends!

Got this from Dave Clark (LASD ret) ... OMGOSH... this is so true! Try it! Really!

Yesterday was back therapy day. Ahhhhhh......
I subscribe to Paw My Gosh and here is the video of a blind puppy mill dog who has been adopted. Such a love...
The Humane Society of the US is one of the donations I make several times a year.
Short video, 2 min, re Peyton's finish and greeting Tom and his press conference with his 4 year old son, Marshall.
Just so you know, I am sad my Patriots lost, but on the other hand, since this is probably Peyton Manning's last season I'm glad he gets to go out in a blaze of glory! If the Broncos win the Super Bowl it will be even more awesome for him!

As for Tom Brady, Patriot's QB, he has had 6 trips to the Super Bowl, won 4. Won 3 Super Bowl MVP Awards. Been to 11 Pro Bowls. Has led the Patriots to more division titles than any quarterback in NFL history, with 13. His career postseason record is 22-9, his playoff wins total most in NFL history. He has thrown more passing yards and touchdowns than any quarterback in NFL postseason history. I think he'll be fine!

Wild Turkeys ~ Geese ~ USN ~ Roe vs Wade ~ Sunday Football ~ Redneck BBQ ~ Cheesy Potatoes/Burger Patty

Good 41º cloudy foggy morning. Rain yesterday ... 1/4". No rain predicted for today and tomorrow. Nice. When my car was serviced Friday they washed it. Nice to have a clean car for a couple days!!!

Ok, it's been a month since Christmas already!!! Yikes!

Yesterday I was moving slow. For breakfast/lunch, since it was National Peanut Butter Day, I had rice cakes with peanut butter, banana on one with a drizzle of honey, and mayonnaise on the other. Daddy loved peanut butter and mayo sandwiches. Me too!!

Yesterday I went out to feed the birds and there were over 30 turkeys who showed up to share with the birds!!!

Of course the geese are here same time as the turkeys...

My friend Terry Bonyea (LASD ret) shared this... Talk about talent! These sailors and the UA Navy Band blew me away. And dang.... hot in those white uniforms!!!! Turn it on and sit back and enjoy!

The 22nd was the anniversary of Roe vs Wade. My friend Bob Klamm posted this of his wife Micol....
   Good one Bob!!!!

Super Bowl February 7th .. Broncos and Panthers.

My email pal, Dave Clark (LASD ret), sent this... A Redneck BBQ!
What a great use for an old item! LOL.

Dinner was potatoes and burger patty. I cut in half and cooked the potatoes..

When the potatoes were done, drained, and added into the pot chopped up bacon, artichoke hearts, chives, and cheese. Stirred that up and added in about 1/3 cup of the Bacon Sauce. Let it sit on warm. Then cooked the burger patties...

I mixed some of the Bacon Sauce with steak sauce and topped the burger patty with that.

Full Moon ~ Fog/Rain ~ Sunday Football ~ TR's Bloody ~ Wild Geese ~ Bruiser ~ 3 Dogs ~ Moustachioed Sami ~ Drinking Clock ~ Hot Toddy

Good 42º super foggy dark and gloomy morning! If you aren't under any clouds, look for the full moon after 5pm tonight. Raining again right now.

Rain started yesterday after a brief few minutes of sunshine, about 11:45. We got 1/4" by the end of the day.

This is what I will be watching today ... chair, wine, and my Pats! You will probably be able to hear me yelling and screaming!!!

Later:

This is the latest Tap Rock post... their 'smoky bacon bloody'... I want one while I watch the game!!! Going there to get one soon!

Yesterday I heard the geese. They had landed on the barn roof. They come back every year at this time prior to nesting... I call to them "Hi goosey goose" and then come down and have some corn.

While I was outside taking pictures, Bruiser was next to a bird feeder and hoping a bird would fall into his mouth!

Then he came in and napped on my computer!

This is so cute and hilarious.... these 3 dogs keep going into this store and keep getting chased out. They want some Doritos! See what happens ...... still laughing here!

................this is funny, his name and profession. He was destined to race. Just like one of the doctors in the Cardiology unit is named Dr. Lightheart.... destiny in a name. And my son, with the name Pendleton was destined to be a Marine! This is fun.... let's see ... who else.... Linda Toot played the flute in the Milwaukee Symphony! Mr. Sues is an attorney. Dr. Fingers is a gynecologist. Dr. Dick Bone (WHAT were his parents thinking????????) is a osteopath. Dr. I. Doctor is an ophthalmologist. In El Monte there is a dentist Dr. OwRoland Cruz in an auto mechanic!

Sami face-timed me. She has stickers on her face!! Silly girl..

For some unknown reason there was water on my back porch yesterday. I had been washing clothes and a leak came from somewhere. It wasn't that bad, but it was a chore to clean up. Now I have to figure out what happened. Joy.

Watched the news and made myself an hot toddy. E-pal Maryann said she had made one after I had posted Hot Toddy Day on my blog, and is probably now addicted to them. With the weather she is having, back in Maryland (55 mph winds!) it hit the spot! 2 oz whiskey, 2 t. honey, 6oz boiling water, a squeeze of fresh lemon juice... Perfect~! I had two.

And speaking of weather, my friend Brooklyn Vivia said they got 2 1/2 feet of snow where she is.

Dinner was the last of the turkey soup. Chair, wine, Blue Bloods.

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Sunday. Ciao.
