Good 50º clear sunny morning. Looks like we are in for more hot weather.. probably up to three digits!

Here is another food storage idea....

A container of cottage cheese or sour cream will last twice as long if you put it upside down in your fridge. It creates a vacuum and inhibits the growth of bacteria that spoils food.

Yesterday about 8:30am I loaded Dude into my truck, opened up the back window

as he likes to sniff everything, and we headed into town. At the bottom of our driveway by the road was the Trees Inc crew on Dave and PJ's property taking down some trees....

The tree next to our driveway was marked so I asked them why.... The tree is a White Ash and they said it was so tall and interfering with the power lines and it needed to be taken down before it fell down as it was dead up at the top and the trunk showed signs of "ill health"!

I'll check down there to day and see what they did.

Yesterday afternoon about 1:30 it got quite windy... The temp went from 83º and 9% humidity at 1:30 to 87º and 5% humidity at 2pm.

Dinner was a can of Progresso Lite Chicken & Dumplin soup! Tummy needed to relax. Ahhh..... So, in my chair with Bruiser on my lap... first a bath then a nap:

... and a fun Hallmark movie... A Royal Christmas.

The horrible fire on the Cajon Pass between San Bernardino and Las Vegas is still going. So many vehicles lost as it crossed the I-15...

Good 50º clear sunny morning. I think we hit 85º yesterday. Warming up again...

The pest guy, AJ, from All Natural was here early. Put out more bait for the danged ground squirrels! Hope it gets them all this time! Then he sprayed the perimeter of the house for the yearly bugs. I was cleaning out DVDs from the entertainment center and gave him a couple for his little boy. He was a happy dad. Said, "I know what we will be watching tonight!" LOL

Brian showed up to get the motorcycle trailer out of the barn. It holds two scoots.

Said our friend Bob Klamm is going to see if any of his motorcycle group would be interested. Or he will find someone to buy it so we can get a utility trailer to clean out the barn and haul stuff away in.

Yesterday was my nephew Joe's birthday, today is his wife, Denise's! Happy Birthday Denise!!

I was driving by Abby's Pizza, so I stopped in. Ordered a "Greek pizza" ... thin crust, white sauce, fresh spinach, red onion, artichoke hearts, red bell peppers, and feta cheese. I sat and had a glass of wine while I waited. Came home, pizza was GREAT!
