Yesterday about 11am...

so.... while I'm taking pictures my fur pals have to get close ... "hi mom.... whatcha doin'?"

Yesterday Patriots vs Steelers.... OMG!!! YIPPPEEEEE.....

 

Alex's Dolphins did good Thursday night, Kristen's Jets did it, Raiders lost LOL!, Brian's Colts did it, and my Patriots rocked!

 

This picture needs no words. You KNOW what Isabella, Diamond Bar Trish's granddaughter, is thinking.... after her uncle Daryl repeatedly put frosting on her nose...

"Take out the bag of giblets"... LOL, this reminds me of the Thanksgiving we spent with Don (ret LASD)/Mollie Johnston. Mollie wasn't a cook. She could make fried bologna sandwiches, bout it! Anyway, she cooked dinner and asked Jerry to carve the turkey. OMG, the bag of giblets was still in the turkey!!!!  We laughed about that for a long time!

National Candy Day

The days following Halloween often leave parents wondering, what's to be done with all this candy? Well, National Candy Day serves as a reminder that candy is good food if eaten in moderation, and even has applications in recipes for desserts and other confections. Or, you can be benevolent and take your leftover candy to the local fire or police station. Believe me, those folks would appreciate it!!

Good 35º drizzly morning. May get more. So far just over 1/4".

Yesterday morning after 9am....

.... then at 2pm.

It did this all day... sun out, sun in, sun out, sun in....

 

I woke this morning dreading the worst, as I usually wake sometime between 4 and 5. I looked at the clock, and lo and behold it was 6am!!! YIPPPPEEE.... No, I didn't have to 'fall back' to 5am as my clock is an atomic projection clock. It changes all by itself  at 2am, and becomes 1am. Like back in the day.... when I worked earlies at Lakewood Station and the Lt. would come in the dispatch area at 2am and change the clock back to 1am. Groan. Working that hour over again was torture!

 

Yesterday was boring, by telling anyone standards. I worked on stuff on my desk, cleaning out tossing away, organizing. Yawn.... and I cleaned the Halloween decorations off the front door...  spiders and webs and 'caution danger' tape....

I did decide to make that 'Raman Burger' ...

I took the shrimp seasoning packet out and just cooked the noodles as the package said.... let cook 2 min rolling boil, drain and cool 15 min... sprinkled on some garlic sea salt.

One package of noodles will make 2 bun halves... mix one egg in ... coating all the noodles.... spray a deep narrow bowl with cooking spray, divide the noodles between two dishes, top with Saran wrap, add weight to top... like soup can, jelly jar, etc... put in refrigerator for a minimum of 30 minutes...

Drop the noodles out onto a hot pan with oil and fry until golden on each side. Drain on paper towels. I added a slice of cheese to the top of each as they came out of the pan...

Once the burger was cooked, and I made it about the size of the Raman bun and thin... I topped it with mayonnaise and tomatoes...sea salt of course!

OMGAWD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was SO GOOD!!!!!!! Want to make one every day!!!! It was a lot to eat, so only ate about half...leftovers for breakfast today!

One anniversary today, 23 years Ann and Gabe Ramirez (both LASD ret) .... HAPPY ANNIVERSARY KIDS!

Sorry Mike Cipolla...I posted your birthday a day too early. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKE!!!!
