7 Dwarfs ~ Bugs ~ Walkin' With Dogs & Cat ~ Raspberry Tart

Good 38º almost a heat wave morning! Yesterday was an 80+ºer again. House stays cool. Sun only on west side. North side stays so cool I wear a sweatshirt when in there!

Yesterday was haircut day. Got it short short short.... Had a fun time chatting with Leah, my go-to-hair-gal. Her life is interesting and she fills me in on the details. Shhhhhh......

I was talking about the Pomona Gun Show and seeing Wilt Chamberlain there one time... (he died of a heart attack in 1999 at age 63) I walked over to him and was staring at his butt! Just about eye level! I am 5'4" and he was 7'1". The gal in the other chair said, "My folks used to go to that gun show and they saw him too!" Wilt The Stilt. What a guy!

Came home and paid bills. The dogs wanted to go for a walk, so we did a short one. As soon as we hit the driveway Bruiser showed up. He likes to see what the dogs are doing! But, he lay down between my feet!

Everyone was ready for a drink of water, even Bruise! It was 86º by then.

Going to try a new recipe.... make taquitos from won ton wrappers! Will post if good or bad.

So....... you were the one who voted for BO! !@#%$^&*(+*

Painted Photography ~ Lunch In A Jar ~ LE/Fire Lunch ~ Shark

Good 36º tad warmer than yesterday morning!

This is interesting.... the photo of "Tonnie" was taken by my friend Debbie Flores..... the painting of Tonnie was done by Donna Walsh.....

Notice ... there is a gun by her hand in the painting! Beautiful work, Donna!

This is pretty good. From George Bachmeier.... men should always let women talk first. The end is priceless. The babe is terminally beeeotchy.

This from my friend PatC. What a great idea. Lunch in a jar!

Takes up little space, easy to make and transport. From BOTTOM to TOP: Dressing, shredded carrots, sunflower seeds, hard boiled eggs, baby spinach or lettuce.

1. Arrange ingredients in large Mason jar. 2. Store in fridge for at least a week. 3. When ready to eat, shake jar, and pour out onto plate.

You can make any arrangement you want .. add red onion, cucumbers, radishes, peppers, etc. Always remember to put the dressing on the bottom and the lettuce on the top. If you do make several and save for the week, vacuum seal the jars!

The Law Enforcement/Fire lunch yesterday was fun. I got there a tad early and the room was empty (all the guys were down in the bar having their bloodies! You can see mine sitting on the table.....)

The food is always good. I had the "Big Bird" which is turkey, bacon, mozzarella cheese ... grilled, with onion rings that are awesome! I was taking a picture of my lunch when Dale reached over and was stealing an onion ring!

Bill had prime rib.... as Rufus and Bob looked on...

Really, Jeannie, he only ate a little and I'm sure he'll be ready for the dinner you slaved to make for him!

BTW, had a note from a friend, Ruth, who has a Shark Vacuum also and Shelly, her husband LOVES it! I have to say, I looked at the bedroom carpet yesterday, it's a dark green and had been vacuumed 4 days earlier...Looked clean to me. I fired up the Shark and OMG the dirt and animal hair that came off that carpet blew me away!

All I know. Haircut day. Nuff said. Happy Thursday. Ciao.

On the one hand, truffles are an edible fungus, a hard-to-grow delicacy that have been called 'the diamond of the kitchen.' On the other hand, truffles are chocolate bon-bons, called truffles because of their rounded resemblance to the natural kind. Both are celebrated on National Truffles Day, the sweets and the mushroomy kind.

May! ~ Eggs On A Roll ~ Shark Vacuum ~ Rice Cooker Dinner ~ Buddy ~ Chocolate Parfait

Good 29º ice on everything clear morning. See..... this is why I don't plant tomatoes until June! Burrrrrr.........................

Eggs, cheese roll, lettuce, tomato, provolone cheese ...

Fry eggs with cooking spray, mayo on bread, sliced tomatoes, top with eggs, cheese, and lettuce. YUMMMMM!!!

No baseball game yesterday evening. Tucker still not 100% and Sami is coughing now. Their team wasn't going to play anyway, as they had snack bar duty. Game on for Saturday~

I got my new vacuum cleaner Monday. Ordered from Wal-Mart on line after recommendations from Jeannie and her pal Dawn, Shenanigans bartendress! .... It's a Shark. I finally used it yesterday and OMG does it clean. It was like my carpet had never been vacuumed ever! The dirt that came up was amazing!! I am happy happy. Don't have to buy bags for it either! Yeah!

So, worked in the yard .... trimmed grapevines while Bruiser lay under the vine in the shade watching me! Nut. After I was informed that the bush I had a picture of was in fact lilac. I picked some, also have a white lilac bush. They DO smell good!

Dinner....easy..... quinoa and sprouted rice in the rice cooker, top with baby carrots, sliced zucchini, sweet peppers, Anaheim chili, diced celery, spinach, and broccoli slaw. Add water and let'er cook.
