Good 35º raining morning. Started raining in the night. So far we've gotten 1" and it keeps on comin'! We won't be able to see the full moon here! Dang!

When we get up in the morning, first thing Dude and Bruiser want to go outside. Then I make my tea and come sit here at my desk. The rain doesn't bother Dude, as he is so excited when he comes back in and gets a good "rub down" with a towel to dry him off.

He loves that!!!!

Yesterday I got this from pal Ellen Naugle, Wilsonite and former next door neighbor... I never really cared for Gene Simmons, but this show he put on for the USO in Iraq was wonderful and my ideas about him have changed a bit! Thanks Ellen!!

I bet this is not something that happens anymore, but in grammar school we all learned The Air Force Song, The US Army Song, The Navy Song... Anchors Away, and The Marines Hymn.

Today is special... 48 years ago I was in a BFF's wedding. Annalee Carlin married Led Fortini. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY KIDS!!!!

Good 35º dark foggy morning.

Yesterday it stayed pretty cloudy, after a good 1/10" of rain first thing, then sorta some sun came out... and hid again...

While I was taking pictures, Dude was on watch......

 Bruiser showed up, and I love the way his big old feet look when he's walking.....

And Mr. Jake turkey was preening and looked at me like "stop watching" ! 

Yesterday I got a funny about female cops from Gar Austin (LASD ret) and had a lot of pictures. Most of them looking really good, except for these two Chicago cops...

Obviously NO STANDARDS!! OINK OINK.... that is horrible to be in uniform looking like that. And to top it off, chewing on a big old turkey leg!!!

Those who play this instrument, can create some awesome music. If you are a violinist, we salute you.

My Scottish grandmother Isabell, played the violin. I took lessons, but didn't have the talent!

Good 41ºdark cloudy foggy raining morning.

Yesterday it was pretty gloomy most of the day until about 1pm. 

Sun was nice for a short time. Warmed to 52º. It was Football Sunday, so that was ok. I did make a quick trip to the market. New checker, Tammy, born and raised in Eagle Rock. Knew about Henry's On The Hill. Henry's Drive-in in Alhambra on Valley Blvd was a favorite cruise place.

(It's been changed and now it's a boring looking restaurant!) There was the other one in Eagle Rock where we went occasionally.

Basically this is what Bruiser does on cold rainy days....

Shelly is the sweet husband of our former Jackson Co Republican Women's Club President, Ruth.

Ok, I'm going to get an avocado and cook one of my salmon steaks. This is a Greek Avocado Tzatziki Sauce to put atop the salmon.

First marinate the salmon in olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, and grated garlic. Baking dish and bake at 400º about 10 minutes.

Mix 1 mashed avocado with 1/2 c plain Greek yogurt, 1/2 cup peeled/seeded/and grated cucumber (squeeze to drain), 1 garlic clove grated, 1 T chopped fresh dill, 2 T lemon juice, and salt and pepper to taste.
